kegel=smaller penis?

this is my first post here, I downloaded some PE info off of Kazaa and have been doing it off and on for about a month. The instructions they gave are the same you guys suggest, but I came here hoping someone could answer some pretty unique questions.

Every time I do kegels my penis shrinks! The head turns cold, the shaft contracts until it is stiff and only 1-2 inches long. suggestions?

Also, my attempts at jelqing never seem to make the head expand and i have been taking this as a sign that it is not working. suggestions?

Also, I am quite young at 21, and believe it or not have been having erection problems for about a year now. suggestions?

Also, my flacid size is quite embarrasing and have been considering purchasing one of these cock rings you have been talking about, is there a website i can get these from b/c I really don’t want to be seen in our small towns’ sex shop, people talk around here if you know what i mean.

I’m not a big fan of Kegels either… I think they may have a purpose in helpinig to exhaust the ligs prior to doing stretching exercises and possibly improving erection strength… Aside from the previous two mentioned things they proved to be worthless in combating premature ejaculation, true you could stop the orgasm for the most part but after I started fucking again I would have to clamp down, thus stop and contine this over and over…

Cock rings are great but make sure you get the right size… I got one stuck and thought for a moment I would need medical attention to remove it… I would suggest driving to another city / town and getting some or perhaps mail order from a well known company… Good luck with it…

Welcome to Thunder’s!! You’re sure to get some helpful feedback on your questions. I know nothing about cock rings, but kegeling is a must in PE, as far as I’m concerned. I’d keep kegeling, even though it doesn’t seem to make a difference at this time. It should certainly help you in the long run.

I’ve been at it since last October, and there are times when willy does not respond so positively to my kegeling efforts. So don’t get twisted out of shape if he balks at your best efforts. Give time time. Of all the PE exercises, the kegels have made the biggest difference for me.

Can you provide a better description? Do you mean that the shaft immediately pulls back when you perform an individual kegel (this is normal), or are you describing an ill effect of doing an entire kegel workout? The head turning cold is very odd — kegels ought to pump fresh blood into your cock.

Perhaps you are too flaccid when jelquing? Download and view the video here to see if you’re doing things right.

Try using the Search function to find relevant threads in the Sexual Health forum if the erection problems seem to be psychologically based (i.e., in some situations the unit works fine, but in others that provoke anxiety, it wimps out). Or is it possible that you’ve been PEing too vigorously and damaging your penis?

Considering all three of your experiences— the problems with kegeling, jelquing, and achieving normal erections — I’d suggest that you might want to check in with a doctor. Obviously you don’t need to mention the kegels and jelquing if you don’t want to, although it’s best to be honest and give them all the info possible. I do wonder whether there’s some sort of blood-flow issues going on here.

From what you described it seems to me that you might have low testosterone or some other hormonal problem. If I were you I’d visit a doctor (endocrinologist?) and get some blood work done to check hormone levels

Doing kegels while flacid, my size gradually decreses until it is tiny and stiff after about 5-10 minutes. If i do them while erect, my penis reacts normally (more blood flow, expanding head)

Also, after trying jelqing again today, I was doing good for about 30 seconds, but then even though i was at half my fully erect length, my dick became too hard to jelq without what i believe would be enough pressure to cause injury. should i just say fuck it and do it anyway? Am i being a wimp and am really safe until i have a full blown erection? are there any similar exercises you could recomend to get around this?

I would recommend doing Kegals erect>That’s ultimately when the exercise comes in handy… when your erect! If your jelq sesh is slowed down or stopped from becoming to erect, try ejaculating thirty minutes to an hour before your session.

OK, here’s my guess at what’s happening. In men Dr. Kegel’s exercise is done with the bulbocavernosus (BC) muscle. Actually it’s two sets of muscles, one on either side, that surround the bulb of the penis in a “herringbone” pattern (see this illustration).

The purpose of the BC muscle contraction is to eject semen from the urethra. It also is used to get that last squirt of urine out as well. Finally, in conjunction with the ischiocavernosus muscles (see above illustration), the contraction of the BC helps you get to “maximum erection” which usually occurs just before ejaculation. It does so by contracting the bulb of the penis, which is the inner part of the corpus spongiosum (CS), and that causes the glans (head) to expand and become harder which helps put semen deep within the vagina.

When Kegels are done flaccid, the BC muscle is pulling against the CS, which is attached to the glans, and the whole penis moves inward toward the muscle. The glans is acting like a piston as it compresses the CS and CC. Without blood in them, as they have at erection, these tissues seem to be pretty compliant. The pull of the BC is apparently strong enough to compress the erectile tissues which causes them to become shorter and thicker.

I assume things return to normal when you stop Kegeling. If so, I’d say the reaction of your penis to the exercise is normal.

You can’t jelq while flaccid. The recommended method is to jelq at 60-80% erection. You have to have enough of an erection to get blood into the corpora cavernosum (CC), but not so much of one that the CC fills and prevents the fluid movement that is necessary for jelqing to be effective. You should be able to feel a wave of pressure as you move your hand/fingers toward the head. You’ll know when it gets to be too much of an erection because you won’t be able to feel the movement of blood in the penis as you jelq. At that point just stop and let some of the erection subside before starting again.

There are several threads about erect jelqing injuries in the Injuries & Treatments forum. Erect jelqing injuries tend to be severe and long lasting. It sounds like you’re aware of the dangers of erect jelqing, but perhaps are being overly cautious.

What exactly makes Kegels the biggest difference in your PE experience? I still don’t really understand how kegels create gains.

When I started PE, I was suffering from ED, i.e, I couldn’t get it up and keep it up. Now I have no problem in that area. Kegels also keep my erections stiff enough so that I don’t lose them while jelqing. They also help to control ejaculations, i.e., I pick the moment. Three perks!! Not bad, huh?
