Kegel Routine, advise please

Hey there, I am 23, in the last two years I have had problems maintaining a hard erection. Probably due to the fact this is when I started smoking.

Have read that doing kegels increase erection power and stamina.

I have been performing this routine for the last three days and find it quite easy to maintain, please let me know if I will notice improvements with this routine and when and what results I should expect. And any changes now, or further down the line I should make. Thanks in advance

First off: Stop smoking. I hate to tell you, but you probably don’t look even a hundredth as cool as Bogart with a cigarette anyway, so just stop. Nothing to gain at all from it. Trust me: I come from a long line of deaths from lung cancer.

Second: Kegels are good for basically everything. It’s the iPhone of physical exercise. I don’t have that much to say about your routine, I guess. I would skip the 100 second hold (If you can hold it for that long, though; Congrats!), and instead do something like fifty or a hundred 2 second holds, but otherwise it seems fine. Routine is the most important for all physical exercises anyway, so whatever you do, just make sure you stick to your schedule. Actually, here’s what I do: Since I know I’m a lot better at following routine if I make it into a daily thing, I kegel every day (Like when I pee, and so on), but I don’t do thousands of them. ‘Cause muscles need to rest, you know. Works for me. A couple of near-orgasms when and if you jerk off or have sex is good too, at least that alone gave me a devilish stamina when I was younger. But back then I used to masturbate for hours on end. Ah, the newly discovered joys of the penis; Puppy love.

Third: If it’s hardness you’re after I recommend a light jelqing routine. Maybe I only speak for myself, but after having jelqed for at least a couple of weeks, my hard-ons are rock-goddamned-hard. I could defend myself with this penis if I had to, I could fucking stab someone. So: Jelq. Except, of course, unlike kegels jelqing requires warm-up. So if that’s a nuisance, don’t jelq at all. Jelqing without warming up is asking for trouble. But if you have a bathtub, just get in there three times a week, and after having soaked in bloody hot water for at least ten minutes, just grab the baby oil and jelq away for ten minutes or so.

Fourth: Stop smoking. Do it. Come on, do it. Do it.

You can do light jelqs without a warmup, as they are often no more intense than firm masturbation strokes. In fact, if you really cannot do a proper warmup, a few minutes of light jelqing before you do your routine can be a substitute, as it increases bloodflow and creates fairly gentle stretching of the tissues, increasing pliability and thus reducing injury potential. However, it is nothing like as good as using heat!

As far as kegel reps goes, I think it is good to do quick squeezes one day, some harder, longer squeezes the next day, and some really strong squeezes the third day (they can be any length; super long holds are not really necessary, although you may wish to include them from time to time for a complete routine). Then take a day or two off and repeat.

The numbers are not important; you have to learn to listen to your body and know when it feels ‘worked’ enough. Some days you may do more, some days less.

The same goes for jelqing and indeed all PE exercises. Jelqing, like kegels, is something you may do more strongly one day than the next, or your penis may be less recovered than you think, so aiming for a certain number of reps is not as good as listening to your body feedback.

I generally agree, but for people like me, who need firm routine to be able to follow it at all, I do kegels every day. Sure, I do more some days, like the days when I do my other PE, but I still do a little every day. A few kegels, just enough to actually qualify as work out, every day. That’s my medicine.

That’s one of the reasons PE is so hard for me, by the way. I’m not the type of person who can go to the gym, or whatever, twice a week. I need to make work out a daily fixture, and doing that with PE is, well, not so good. Re: My strange pains. So what’s happened is I’ve so far, with much effort, been able to follow a thrice-a-week schedule, but I always need to remind myself to do it, sometimes when I’m just about to go to sleep. Like now: It’s almost four o’clock at night here in Sweden, and I’ve yet to do my PE. Goddamn.

It’s nearly 3am here, and I haven’t done my daily bagpipe practice. :)

What would be awesome is if you’d be talking about actual bagpipe practice. I’d LOVE to be your neighbors when you start honking that thing at 3am. But bagpipes are probably too northern to be abundant in your parts? Then I guess you could buy one anyway, just to raise hell.

That’s awesome in so many ways!

The more I think of the original post, the more it bothers me. I mean, god, go to any doctor in the world and tell them you have bad erections because you smoke, and how many do you think will tell you to stop smoking? Kegels are great just about always, but I mean, talk about treating symptoms instead of diseases.

Smoking as well as drinking is terrible for blood flow making it terrible for your little buddy
