So after a half hour of searching this site I’m still pretty confused about doing kegals. What I have been doing for them is something I learned off a pay site years ago, and that is to work up a full erection and hold the penis down, while squeezing as hard as I can to bring it up. I usually do 10 second holds for 12 reps or so for 2 - 4 sets, about twice a week, is this what I should be doing? Am I even doing the exercise correctly?

Ya you can do it that way. That is similar to towel raises in which you get an erection and put a towel on the end of your penis and try to raise the towel. You know when you taking a piss and you can tighten up that area between your balls and anus and it stops the stream? Just tighten that muscle and hold it for a couple of seconds and then release and repeat.


Starting 10/08 - 7.125" EL x 4.5" MSEG

As of 12/08- 7.5" EL x 4.75" MSEG

As of 1/19/08 - 7.75" bpel(previous 7.5" was due to inaccurate ruler) x 4.875" MSEG

I feel like I could do that all day and not feel anything

If you pay close attention to what is going on when you do your kegel’s in that manner, you no longer have to go through the whole routine of gaining an erection etc. You can do kegel’s with no erection or manual assist at all. I used to do them while driving to work in the morning :)


Posting 'newbie' but 2+ year lurker and PEer.

Start: ~6" BPEL, ~5" MSEG (If I remember correctly) Now: 7.25" BPEL, 5.25" MSEG (After an 8 month break) GOAL: I'll be finished when I'm done.

Then I guarantee you’re not doing them right. Even if you have great “muscle tone” in that area, kegel’s should eventually fatigue the muscle tissue. Just like flexing your bicep, even if you’re a world class weightlifter you will eventually feel fatigue.

Yep this is the truth. Squeeze that muscle as hard as you can for 15 seconds and then release. If you can even do 15 of these in a row one after another without feeling fatigue than that is pretty damn good. I get up to about 8 and am begging for a little break. You have to really squeeze that sucker really hard though to get fatigued

My favorite at the moment is to do them in the morning in bed.

When I wake with a full erection I use the bed clothes for resistance.
