Jelqing the bottom half of the shaft

I have been jelqing for about a month now and have noticed that I am not getting as much work done for the bottom of my shaft, most of the work is being done to the second half of my penis. I’m sure this is a common problem, what is the solution? Is there an exercise that targets the base of the penis? I want to be proportional, cylindrical, not fat at the end like a baseball bat. I want to make gains over the whole shaft not just the end.

Jelq lower.but I’ve found that jelquing makes my penis more stubborn and harder to gain in length, so I migh start it again when I’m where I want to be.I had the same problem, but it’s pretty much even now, just don’t go overbord, I did alot of overworking with jelquing (it’s easy to get carried away) and I started losing EQ then losing lenght and girth.evrythings ok now, but it’s better to do less than set yourself back. Lately I’ve also stopped masturbating and my gains in flacid are crazy, erect is noticable but not so much, I’m also hanging like 7 lbs for 1 hour evry other day (15 min sets) because I stopped gaining by hand.but it took me 4 months before I went to hanging

For the bottom of the shaft you should use an overhand ok grip; which is palm facing down, with pinky finger closest to head of penis, thumb closest to pubis/groin. You can also leave this grip unclosed. The CS on the bottom of your penis house’s the urethra which you don’t want to damage. So if you have any pain or discomfort down there leave it unclosed.

Definitely go overhand grip. That helped me get/keep the base proportional. Since I have a big fat pad I actually press in as far as I can when jelqing and manual clamping.

I read hanging helps with base girth also, but I’m not ready to go with anything mechanical, yet, for length or girth.

People tend to forget about the inner base of the shaft. Push your fingers through the baggy skin of the scrotum and feel where the inner penis attaches to the body down below your balls. You should also be working this area, jelqs, stretching, A-Bends around the thumb, using your thumb as a fulcrum. Not only will this work flaccid length, but also base girth.

Gamor14, I’ve found the same thing with jelqs. Wasn’t getting the base involved with expansion.

Started doing overhand from the base and I’m filling the upper end quite well. My head is expanding also.

I don’t jelq the entire length, just to about half way. Slowly . Doing 1 off 1 on. Feels right , for now.

Big Girtha posted exactly what I was going to say. Grip “in” as far as you can and start there. Remember jelqs are not a race - do less with more precision and you’ll be better off.

I started noticing the baseball bat effect at one point too and modified by grip / routine to compensate. Within a little more than a month, I had evened out nicely. This and other technique modifications really showed me that shaping the penis is really possible. At another point, I noticed that I was gaining a lot of skin just below my glans. Again, I modified my grip (this time making sure I used the other hand to pull back the skin as I jelqed) and things evened out.

Right now, I’ve got crazy base girth (need to measure) vs. what I had when I started and the top half needs some work. Once I even out again, my overall shaft should be pretty impressive and look as well proportioned as when I started.

When you grip in, are you then working the entire length from there?

I plan to post more on this soon, but I’ve been using a canning jar lifter (“Power Jelq”) for jelqing— just the lifter with the plastic rollers unpadded, or slightly padded with a layer of foam wrap. With a semi-erect cock I can get way down the shaft and into the abdomen. It’s great for jelqing the bottom half.

But if you only target the lower half, wouldn’t you have to cut off the upper half in some way to get the necessary pressure? My whole problem so far is that the pressure doesn’t build up enough to a high point until I get toward the second half, which is why the first half needs work

I know what you mean. When I dry-jelq I do just the bottom half while tourniquet gripping at the halfway point with my non-jelqing hand; I do this 10 times, then I jelq just the top half 10 times (I repeat this sequence multiple times until I feel fatigued, ie. 10 bottom, 10 top, 10 bottom, 10 top, etc..). Doing something like this may help you get a more even jelq. I am circumcised by-the-way so I have to dry-jelq in two strokes anyways.

I guess I meant that you can do it whichever way feels right. Squeeze tighter for the first half and a bit less on the second - or jelq only up to the midpoint - or start low and continue all the way through. What matters is that you are gripping lower now (deeper into the fat pad) and you are paying attention to that neglected area. It should even out.

I try not to give exact, specific, “do this” advice because we’re all a bit different. Use guidelines and figure out what works for you in your particular situation.
