Hello all,

I’ve tried using the canning utensil and other tools to jelq. Of course using my hands also.

I know we must be careful about the top and bottom for injuries. Is there any advise on using these tools and keeping the side position. Seems like every time I try my unit rolls to top and bottom. Its an intense jelq and I like it but I want to target the sides.

Any ideas besides my hands? Slight arthritis in my hands makes it difficult to do 200. Can only get 50 before my hands lock up.

Jelqing doesn’t have to be intense to make it work. To focus on girth, jelq up around 90% erect so you can feel the internal pressure increase with each jelq stroke and try using less force so your hands will take less of a beating (and your cock too).


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I understand. Watching the jelqing video here it looks as though he is squeezing pretty hard.

Are videos are good but not perfect. You don’t have a lot of guys willing to put in the time and effort to make them, so you are happy to take what you can get.

The guy in the video is also jelqing at pretty much 100% erect and that is not recommended and he is using too much force, but the basic technique is getting across.

I like to say jelqing is a game of finesse, not force, so concentrate on perfecting a good massaging technique that provides a good internal expansion from blood pressure increases with each stroke.

I know a bit about arthritis-like diseases as my Madame has a similar chronic sickness for over 25 years.

Maybe you should start to include a warm-up… for your hands too! May sound simple, but I’ve read complaints from guys about getting tired hands and joints from stretching and jelqing and they had no arthritic problems.

The second point is diversity. Doing the same movement again and again is creating repetitive strain, and in artrithic cases this will boost locally the infection of the joint.

So I would propose three things:

- Warm up your hands as well as you warm up your dick before PE. Find a solid method like a huge rice filled sock where you can put your hands inside it.

- vary a lot with the method “inside the routine”. So instead of doing 20 stretches, 50 kegels and 200 jelqs (as example) do 1 stretch, 3 Kegels and 10 jelqs and repeat that cycle 10 times.

- Split your routine in multiple smaller training units distributed over the day to reduce repetitive strain intensity per training unit.

Manual techniques are, well, manual. But they are pretty well proven so probably you will do it for an extended time.

But there is a good side of PE too: the worst thing to do with artrithis is NOT to mobilize the affected joints. So PE will help your hands being the fantastic tool we were given.
