I know, I know.these are probably some of the questions that have already been asked a thousand times, but when I jelq I lose my erection way too fast. Is this because I’m maybe using too tight of a grip? I’m having a very hard time maintaining a steady erection for my entire session and I don’t know why.

How tight should my grip be? Anything I can do to help this?

It’s normal for your erection to vary during jelqing. Anything from 40-70% is usable, but around 60% is good.

Try to imagine using your thumb and finger ring squeegeeing runny honey off a smooth stick.

What you are trying to achieve is a ‘wave’ of blood being pushed up your penis by your grip, and expanding the shaft as you go.

Strokes should be around 3-4 seconds long.

You can kegel more blood in after each stroke, or as needed, to keep the erection level you want.

If you find that your grip is too tight, you can try to relax the grip a bit.

Perhaps train your brain to think of something arousing to help maintain erection?

If you are just starting out, being able to maintain “flaccid” most of the time will allow you to target “length” exercise such as manual pulling, V and A stretches etc. Targeting length at the beginning is very beneficial.

I have problem with excessive erection (which is a lot harder to deal with in penile exercises for length).

I’m a newbie with <4 month’s experience. But FWIW, too lengthy of a pre-PE warm up seems to inhibit an erection for me. Maybe it’s too much heat, or maybe I just lose the “mood”. But 10 minutes seems to be a bit too long for me. I’ve backed off the time by about 1/3 and that has helped.

On the flip side, maybe increasing warmup time for those with incessant boners would help, too.
