Jelqing question

I jelq in the bathtub with hot water. I do 2 handed jelqs my left hand grabs the head of the penis and extends it, while the right hand goes up the shaft. My question is, is there a direction the penis should be when you are jelqing? I’ve done jelqs when the penis is on the left side, right side, up, and straight.

When you’re stretching you want to remain flaccid. Jelqing without a semi-erect penis gives no effect so you should do them separately.
