I have a question regarding jelqing.Why does this work? I’ve saw some “roller” type product which talked about massaging, etc.It seems for length pushing up the blood toward the glans will put pressure on the end of the balloon and cause it to expand in that direction. Someone suggested jelqing for length is better done with less blood. For girth where you want more blood it seems jelqing would be about the same as squeezing the penis increasing the pressure.

Ok, here is the wiki def: "Jelqing is a penis enlargement method intended to make the penis larger by "exercising" tissues in the penis, with the goal of permanently increasing the maximum erect size of the penis. This technique, also called "milking", involves wrapping the thumb and index finger around the penis while semi-erect and repeatedly drawing them away from one’s body to force blood into the glans, thus encouraging more vascularity in the corpus cavernosum and associated tissues."

Says the mechanism of action is "exercising" tissues in the penis. Wth is that? :)

It says jelqing is "causing internal stretching and increased blood flow". I can believe the internal stretching part, that would be due to increased pressure in the Corpus cavernosum.

For a weaker erection (< 50-60%) during jelqing one is forcing a smaller amount of blood toward the tip (it seems from my practice that I can get a higher pressure at the tip with a smaller amount of blood).

For a stronger erection (mine gets very rigid) I don’t feel that at the end, just more of an overall pressure increase. Seems clamping one hand at the base and squeezing the shaft with the other would do the same thing without the massaging effect of jelqing (assuming just the pressure is causing the stretching/growth). I have read where someone suggested clamping one hand at the base and another just before the glans and squeezing to increase girth.same thing. When I apply pressure I see the glans get bigger (I’m very careful about the amount of pressure).

Anyway I was hoping to get some insight from the experts here.

Uhm. I think when jelqing, you move the blood inside your penis kinda like a wave (not really, but I can’t find a better analogy). Pressure is put in different points of the tunica as you move your hand. So the stress is different than when clamping. Dry-jelqs are a bit closer to manual clamping, IMO.

Anyway. the goal is to enlarge the tunica, which is the structure that constraints your size. Hope this helps a bit.

This is correct
The increased pressure in front of your hand puts a certain amount of stress on the internal structures and the tunica however some of that tension is mitigated by the amount of surface area.
The area of greatest stress is the point right in front of your jelqing hand where the diameter is reduced and the tension is most focused, as Marinera stated like a wave moving along the length.

This is also why some clampers get their largest gains in the area under the clamp.

I have never been able to consistently do the jelqing, as I never really thought it did much compared to mechanical stretching which I’ve got great results with.

Recently I tried jelqing with two hands, one to begin the jelq stroke and as the first stroke finishes, the second hand does the same thing right behind.

I find that the pressure on my unit is significant while doing this and it felt sore afterwards as if I’d actually done something.

I have been doing this all week before my stretching, and will continue until I measure once again in april.

Should we be sore afterwards? Does that let me know when I’ve done it right? Is it like in the gym, if I’m sore then I did it right?

I think you have to be careful not to overdo it, but some mild soreness tells you that you are attacking the tissues with your efforts. The soreness I felt was in the tunica area on the top of my dick where I want there to be stretching.

I have never felt soreness in that area before and so I would consider what I did to be a targeted exercise for the tunica, which encourages me to continue.

I started using a rice sock today as recommended by someone here. Had a really good jelq session. Getting the hang of it, definitely some learning curve just getting to know your own banana. :)

Ok, someone please give me some feedback. My jelqing, I heat with a rice sock for 5-10 mins prior. Then use water based lube and start to massage getting some blood into, nearly 50-70% I’m guessing. I use reverse OK grip pulling away and slightly down. I grab as close to the base as I can and squeeze my OK then slowly (3-5 secs per stroke) move toward the glans. I can feel the resistance as the pressure in the end of the tunica increases. It feels like a small tight balloon filled with liquid. I push close to the edge of the glans then start the next stroke.

My aim seems to be to push that little balloon tight enough to cause growth without causing injury.

I feel like this is a good thread, many people seem to not know the exact mechanics or theory behind jelqing .. Thanks for asking giggity, and thanks for all the feedback as well!
