Jelqing for the 1st time; A question

Hey all,

Was wondering about a sensation that I felt was consistent with what others who jelq correctly are experiencing. As I grasp the base of my dick when I already have one hand right below the glans, should I feel that the space between the two hands increases in tension and kind of momentarily bulges before letting go of the grip right below the glans?

Yes you should. If your erection level is in the neighborhood of 50% or so you should definitely feel a bulging between the two grips when you get your base grip into place. The firmer you hold your grip near your glans the more you should feel the bulge between them.

When you jelq the idea is to increase and maintain blood lock. You are effectively giving yourself the very best erection you have ever had which slightly increases the size of you dick over your normal erection size. You should be sliding your hand up your shaft slowly, concentrating on the feel and pressure. Each jelq should take 5 to 10 seconds each depending upon what you intend to accomplish. 10 to 20 jelqs done right is better than 200 done wrong.

To get the very best erection you’ve had wouldn’t you need to do it with an already great erection? And aren’t you definitely not supposed to do that?

You should never do jelqs at 100% erection. Generally, you should try to maintain a 50% erection while jelqing but it depends on your goals. When you jelq, you should attempt to press blood into your penis and hold it there while messaging the internal structures with each jelq. When you first start out, you want to take it easy on the pressure until you learn what your penis can handle. Thereafter, you want to increase the pressure to the point of growth. If there was a number to identify this, I would put it at 101% erection intensity. The problem is most people don’t know where that is and either push too hard or don’t push hard enough.

Start with low intensity slow reps and increase pressure over several months. You want to aim for “uncomfortable” but not pain. Each person has a different pain threshold so a one size fits all plan doesn’t work. Get to know your penis and give it a good workout.
