Jelqing advice

What’s the proper level of erection that one should have to jelq? Almost flaccid or almost erect? I’ve seen videos and posts that conflict each other. I’ve only been PEing on the newbie routine for about 2 weeks now, and when I first started, I was jelqing almost flaccid. The last 2 times, I was almost erect and could definitely feel the pressure stroking towards the glans. I’m going for length and girth, so is one way better than another?

60-70% erection is more suitable for length.

Above 70% more suitable for girth.

Kingpole, my sessions have been much better since I took the weekend off and switched to every other day. I’m also, like you said, having more fun with this. I’m so pumped and excited to work out the next day when I’m on my off day. Flaccid hang has improved and EQ has slowly improved each day. Thanks.

Thanks! Another question for you: When doing the warmdown would you suggest against a shower and opt for something else? After I jelq and edge/engorge with some holds and Ulis thrown in I get into a warm shower for about 10 minutes. Is this ok or would you suggest something else? As always, I appreciate your advice.

Warm showers are a good warmdown but to make it even better take a washclothe, fold it up, and encase your dick in it while holding it under hot water. I find this is very good because when I am done my dong is nice, heavy, warm, red, and veiny.

I agree. I warm up with a shower (I take at least a 15 minute shower that tends to be on the hotter side every night) and always warm down with a hot washcloth. I find about 4 hot (as you can stand it and slightly to moderately damp) applications is about 5 minutes. I always feel nice and plump (and slightly horny which I hope means that I did a good job) afterwards.

Showers are great the steam really makes your ding dong pliable. You get the same benefits from warming up and warming down with Fowfers.

Is it necessary to press down while I jelq? I think I felt some pain even when I am using an “OK” grip while I jelq. I have been taking a 2 weeks break due to decrease in EQ. I will be starting again in a few days, however, I am really worry about damaging the organ while I jelq.

What do you mean by “press down” when jelqing?

You should not feel pain when jelqing. If you do, you probably are gripping too tightly.

By pressing down what do you mean?

Likely your grip is way to tight like calfaddict said.

If you feel pain don’t do PE.
I’m not sure what you meant by pressing down. Could you explain in more detail?

Just wondering, kingpole, why do you advise against jelqing the glans? Also, you suggest having a static grip near the glans, presumably to increase the internal pressure as the other grip moves along the shaft. But without the static grip, wouldn’t the pressure be increased anyway as you jelq towards the glans, since the blood has nowhere to go (it’s not squirting out the end of your dick, after all)?

You get better plumpness when you move the base grip up slowly toward the glans grip. The cardinal rule not to jelq the glans is to prevent it from being injured. Also you want to use a soft grip. The pressure would be increased but not as much. Post hang would be minimal. But with doing the complete jelq, post jelq flaccid hang last longer and is fatter and longer.

I’ve done it both ways believe me the jelqs demonstrated in the videos are the best way to go. The grip placed below the glans is more of a stabilizer, keeping your penis from flopping about as well. This grip should be soft as well.
