I read another thread that suggested jelq-ing when fully hard (or >75% hard). Is that the preferred method?

This puts the blood vessels under high pressure and may damage your unit. It’s only recommended for very experienced people.

I myself have been jelqing on quite advanced levels and can tell you that you don’t want to do that. The 60% really are the jelq barrier. If you go beyond, especially for prolonged durations, discoloration will only be the least of your problems.

I thought if you were less than 80% you were good to go? I’d say I’m between 60 and 80% for my jelq’s, but never as low as 50%. While it is very rare I go full up doing jelqs it’s nearly impossible for me to be below 50%. Hell, I start going near 50% during stretches!

Actually I never understood how it is possible to jelq when fully hard.
For as strong as I can clench my hand, there’s no way I can push blood up, nor I can really squeeze the penis.

When I’m hard, the glans is rather spongy (much more than during jelqing) and there’s nothing I can do to pump it up.

I get much better results at jelqing at the 40-70% erect state. If it gets above that, I let it subside and start again or I change it up and do some squeezes or clamping. Both are quite risky so I only recommended for units that are fully conditioned and have been at it for a couple of years.

Thanks for clearing that up. I haven’t done any full-erect jelq’s, but I was just curious after what I thought I read.

I do not recommend it under any circumstance unless you’re jelqing very very lightly.

There’s nothing like seeing blood shoot out or your penis.

What a horrific and mortifying rush!

Yes I have popped veins both outside and inside.
The last time was internal in the urethra.
I must have had about 2-3 tsp of blood gush into my palm.
Because the injury was internal everything healed up in less than 2 weeks

The results of my experiments was that I was over working my penis with too much pressure and not enough. Rest between segmented dry jelqs and target holds.
It was something like:
12-8 midhead-head dry jelqs 5 sec with 5 second hold
30 sec rest
30-10 sec midhead holds

Now my routine has progressed and evolved to the point where it still is extreme but with more rest. Something like:
8-12 midhead-head dry jelqs 3-5 sec with 1-2 sec of hold
1 min rest
45-10 sec midhead target hold
2-3 min rest between sets

Now this is just an example I have some incredible theories and routines I’ve been working on for years. I will post my articles once I’m a full time member on here. Do not try to duplicate my routine unil I have finished my three 4-week routines and posted them on here with advice.

I find that jelqing when quite hard (70%) is ok as long as you stay away from the head and keep your stroke on the shaft, otherwise numbness will occur.

The pressure when jelqing like this is similar to when clamping actually, but I find that my dick feels more fatigued after the jelqs that the clamping sessions.

I think that I will focus on jelqing for while as a way of coming off a de-con break and leave my mechanical stretcher until the spring.


Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Well this is odd, I’ve been doing my jelqs while more erect based on the newbie tutorial saying “The minimum erection level you should allow is 40%-50%. In general, the greater the erection, the more effect on girth. Likewise, the lower the erection, the more effect on length. That said, some gain length easily and others only find girth increases. Jelqing with erections higher than 80% should be avoided initially.” I’ve been hoping to gain girth, so I only jelq while erect.

TheGreatDivider, it doesn’t look like you’ve been doing Jelqs, those are 1) dry jelqs, which newbies are usually told to avoid, and 2) with the added hold are more like Ulis which aren’t ever recommended to newbies. I have had one time where I did burst a capillary under the skin and and an extra light brown freckle on my penis for about a week, but I know I was getting way too enthusiastic with my routine that day.
