Jelq speed

I was wondering why it is that there is a recommended jelq speed? Is it for safety or effectiveness?

I’d have to say effectiveness. The strength of your grip is for safety. Only you can determine the strength of your own grip. I’ve heard of some guys gaining with a faster jelq speed 1-2 seconds. However, most guys gain better using a 3-4 second jelq speed. Focus on the stretch and pump of blood in each jelq movement.

Agreed, 3-4 seconds is what I have been doing.

Fast jelqs with little pressure does nothing, just wastes your time.

Slow jelqs—I personally I have only gotten good results- when doing slow! Jelqs, and actually squeezing relatively hard so I can actually feel the push of blood into the gland.

If you do fast jelqs with lots of pressure- thats asking for injury. Thats when you’ll feel that horrible “pinch” in your head.

Slow= safely applying the proper amount of pressure needed.atleast my opinion

Fast jelqs with little pressure, is just jacking off slowly. :)

I also found the slower I jelq, the less of a chance my erection gets too hard.
