Jelq Pressure: sides, top/bottom, or all around?

I’m still sitting out from a jelqing injury in which I increased the number of jelqs much too quickly each session. I also feel I applied too much pressure towards the bottom of the penis, aka the Corpus Spongiosum (which is where my very long lasting injury has occured). Which leads to my question:

Is there a standard as to where to apply the ‘most’ pressure when jelqing? I’m aware that a lighter grip (‘dont break the eggshell’) is best, but as far as the pressure that you DO apply, which is best? I believe I have read that targeting the sides is good for enlarging the Corpus Cavernosa. But then the other day I stumbled upon the Jelq Device website:

This device seems to target exclusively the top and bottom portions of the penis. So what do you guys prefer? Or what have you heard is best? Should certain areas such as the sides or top/bottom of the penis be targeted, or should your pressure be evenly distributed around the whole penis? Maybe there’s not a definitive answer to this, but maybe there is. If not, what’s your preference (what has got you gains?)

If you can get your hand around your penis, even pressure is great. If you can’t, you have to choose between sides and top/bottom. I suggest mixing it up between sessions, or even in the same session. But if you particularly want to focus on increasing the width or depth of your penis, you could ‘prefer’ one over the other. It may make a difference over time.

You have no idea how bad I wish I couldn’t fit my hand around my cawk…lol. I like your suggestion, thanks for the advice!

You can try to do a circular grasp with either a regular or overhand grip.

If not,
- Over hand grip - ^ style grip, pressure with thumb and pointer finger on left and right of penis (sides) with little pressure on the bottom of the penis.
- Over hand grip - o style grip, thumb and pointer fingers go from the sides and put pressure on the bottom of the penis.
- Regular hand grip - v style grip (this is really hard to do for me), pressure with thumb and pointer finger on left and right of penis (sides) with little pressure on the top of the penis.
- Regular hand grip - o style grip, thumb and pointer fingers put pressure mainly on one side at a time, with thumb putting some pressure on the top of the penis of that side.

Pressure should be on sides. Avoid to put pressure on the underside of your penis.

I have a question regarding this too. Since I started being more consistent in my jelqing I think I’m noticing some increase in the chambers on the sides, but mostly on 1 side only.

My penis bends to the left a little anyway, and I consciously jelq to the right and try to put more pressure on the left chamber. Plus I do more bends to the right to try and stretch the left chamber more. But it seems that the right chamber is the side getting all the growth. I was under the impression jelqing away from the curve, and putting more pressure on that side would help even things out, but I’m experiencing opposite growth.

Anyone know whats going on? Should I bend to the left to make that side grow more?

I have read similar things before FL. I have an unconfirmed theory about it. Because the chambers are designed to become rigid at full pressure (to effectively ‘lock up’), the tissues at full pressure will only expand slowly by ‘creep’ if they are held at pressure for a considerable period, for example by clamping. Jelqing of course provides brief ‘bursts’ of pressure in tissues that are still in a state where expansion is available to them (an elastic state, assuming a less than 100% erection).

If you curve to the left and jelq to the right, the left hand side tissues are locking up to resist the pressure and not expanding, but the right hand tissues are being put in a position where they are able to expand more easily with the extra pressure of the blood from the jelq stroke. Because the same volume of blood is being pushed up both chambers, it expands the right chamber but not the left, causing the right hand chamber to grow and increasing the curve to the left.

If my theory is correct, and I’m not saying it is, then jelqing with the curve should actually even it out.

Go ahead and try it the other way and see if your* theory is correct, if not then just try to jelq straight with even pressure with both hands.

I would test my theory, but I have an arrow straight dick, and keep everything very even to keep it that way. I did used to have an upward curve, which I liked, but PE has removed it. :)

Who ever comes up with a theory, it’s still your job to test ideas out and see what works for you. Words of caution, be careful and know that their are bad ideas out there.

I’ve been testing my theories/ideas for 9 years. I have a good feel for what will and won’t work. I work with connective tissue for a living, so have a reasonable idea of how it will react to a stimulus. If it ain’t broke, don’t mess with it. But if it is, and is getting worse, it’s time to experiment. :)

Brilliant bro. So jelqing against the curve is the adverse of what should be done? This sounds innovative and plausible. I have a curve to the left I should remember to jelq in the same direction next times, to see if jelqing that way reduces the curve overtime. Not that my left curve worries me, though.

If your curve doesn’t bother you, it would be great if you would experiment and see if my theory works - I would love some feedback from you marinera!

I think it could work.

As I posted a while ago, I noticed masturbation with the right hand surprisingly brought me a curvature to the left, as opposed to what one would expect.

I suspect quite a lot of right handed wankers have a slight left curve. :)
