Jelq and stretch simultaneously
I’ve been lurking around for 6 weeks. I’ve been dry jelqing, manual stretching, and wearing a home made stretcher (I try to primarily wear this after a manual session. I think of it as sort of a temporary cement for temporary gains). I’ve gained an honest 1/8” BPEL. I wish to hell I’d have known about this stuff when I was on my back for a year and a half recovering from knee surgeries.
When I jelq, it’s quite difficult for me to do more than ten in a row without a bit of a rest. My glans feels pressure to the point of discomfort, and my wrists (both of which have had some rough injuries in the past) wear out. Because of this, I have been alternating between short sets of jelqing and ~30 second manual stretches for my whole routine. I have recently started doing 5 second heavier jelqs while pulling the head down towards my knees with the other hand. It feels like the most productive exercise I’ve done yet.
Has anyone else tried this combination? My concern is that stretching in one direction negates the stretch in the other direction (like a scrap of burlap).
