Is warming down necessary?

I know warming up prevents injuries and might help gains but what does warming down do?

I never heard of warming down in sports under then slowing down to cool down.

No, in fact, if you do some reading on here, it would be better to cool down using an ice pack or something similar.

Why do they call it warming down instead of cooling down then?

I always do a warm down because I like it. It keeps all those fibers nice and loose, warm and relaxed. I remember some people touching on a cool down but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you keep your penis stretched to the post workout length (if this is even really possible).

Do some searching for using a cool down, it makes absolute sense to me on how it works.

In sports, it is very common for players to “stretch it down” once practice has ended. It is good for the athlete to stretch both before and after activity. Not sure how this would apply to PE, but a stretch down in sports is the same thing as cooling down. Just like when you run on the treadmill, you don’t sprint at 10 miles per hour then hop off and go lift some weights, usually you cool down with a jog first. So in PE a cool down can also be a warm down at the same time. If that makes any sense.

Yeah I’d go with what big dainjerus. I also think that there are specific areas and conditions for when to use heating or cooling so I’d check it out with a professional before doing it. I think you use cooling on joints for twists and sprains to stop inflamation and heating on muscles and ligs to stop tears and strains tightening up, hence making them more relaxed and flexible and less prone to re-injury under normal conditions while they heal. Also I think cooling would cause it to heal in a shrunken position thus making it shorter. I am only talking about the ligs around the shaft and not the shaft itself. Also I am not a professional so this is what I have just gathered over time from different injuries around the body and I therefore can’t guarantee it’s accuracy.

My opinion, still, is I wouldn’t bother spending time “warming down” regardless of the PE technique employed.

Heating before and during a session likely has merit, along with cooling while stretched. One old thread. There have been many since.

We apply cold at the end of an exercise to lower the inflammation process by lowering blood flow. So apply cold is useful if we created injuries during an exercise. BUT PE should not create injuries..

We apply warm at the end of an exercise to keep the tissue in an extended state (to lower turtle effect, so the penis is still pumped) after an exercise and to increase blood flow to heal more quickly.
It allows the tissue to stay extended (plasticity =Plasticity means ability to permanently change or deform) and not to retract like an elastic (elasticity : continuum mechanics of bodies which deform reversibly under stress).
Warm down has the same goal as an ADS or FOWFER, they are used to prevent elasticity after a good stretch, to make the gains IRREVERSIBLE.

I recommend warm instead of cold, but it is my opinion.

Reading a lot on this site is a great way to improve your English; it’s one of the reasons we insist on proper spelling and grammar from anyone who’s mother tongue is English. Hello!! Sorry for my english. I do PE for over 4 years and I saw significant gains(when I started my penis was 15cm and now it’s aproximentally 20cm)

Do I have any chance for more gains? Which is the best way for streching? Using your hands (thupb and index fingers puling your penis) or using a device?

After 4 years and 5cm gains, I’m sure you know what methods work for you, better than any of us do. If you have not gained in a while, take a long deconditioning break, then start gently again with the Newbie routine so you don’t get conditioned too fast again. There is no reason why you should not gain more if you want to.

I am feeling like home allready!! Thank’s all you guys! I would like to say that we do requires a lot of dedication and I mean a lot, self experimentation and the ability to learn from your self. I consider my self a master in the jelq technique but with stretching I have some questions. Which is the best way for stretching? Using your hands(thump and index finger around the glans of the penis pulling for 1 minute stopping for 30 seconds and then again. This routine for over 30minutes) or hanging a weight for I don’t now how long?
