Is this enough consistency

I’ve done about three weeks of PE so far and have stuck to it very well. Still, there are some nights when I plan on doing it but aren’t able to. Here’s a quick estimate of my schedule for the past few weeks or so:

3 on
2 off
2 on
1 off
4 on
1 off
3 on
3 off
3 on

As you can see, I’m somewhat consistent, but there was once where I had 3 days off in a row and one time where I was on 6 days out of 7. Should I try and make my schedule more strict, or is this pretty good? I’ve always heard that in weightlifting it’s important to keep your body guessing (I.e. Not doing a MWF schedule for 3 years straight with the exact same exercises and stuff). I dunno if that would apply to PE. Also, a lot of the time I determine whether or not I should do the routine depending on how my unit feels that day. That’s why sometimes I can only do it two days in a row, but sometimes I can get 3 or 4 in a row before I see any bad side effects (soreness or whatever).

My new Goal: To have the volume of a Coke can (21.65625 cubic inches ;) )

Hey BB, I’m new to PE myself. I am enjoying the process and the progress which is negligible at this time but signs of cause and effect happening. My background is in sports exercise and exercise science and the main principle in creating change or progress is not the programme. A better programme has the potential to deliver better results although we all respond differently. The one factor that stands head and shoulders above any other in creating change and progress is consistency. You may have a better programme than me but if I am consistent in my sessions and you are not, I will exceed your achievements. (Speaking hypothetically)
