Is it cheating if you straighten the curve to measure

Maybe “cheating” is the wrong word. It would only be cheating if you used it as your official “bragging rights” measurement. If you have a 7.5 inch penis that looses 0.5 inches due to a curve you don’t have an 8” penis. Period. The length of your penis is the length from your public bone to the tip of your glans when measured parallel to the floor.

Like I said before, I’d love to be able to say I have an 8” penis (and I would if I measured along the curve) but I am honest with myself. You’re only fooling yourself if you count inches that don’t add to length as part of your length.

Either way, a curve can be corrected by PE. Upwards curves are more desirable to women so it does not make sense to try to correct that curve but many have fixed more “unsightly” curves to the left or right that make the penis appear very unsymmetrical.

Current (Sept 15, 2011) BPEL - 7.6 MSEG - 5.8

Goal 8 x 6 (preferably NBPEL)

Many have fixed a curve? On the contrary, I didn’t get that impression around here. Got any links to support that claim? :)

My curve straightened for the most part over the years due to hanging and an ADS ( StaticStretcher ) which can enough tension in the unit.

Dunno, your method sounds like you are measuring air. Not penis. Have no idea how measuring air is going to help you track your gains.

Still sounds like you are measuring air. If a woman were to deep throat you, she’d have to take all eight inches to get to your balls.

But to each his own.

Good points but I base my measuring on what another person would see not feel as that seems more quantifiable to me. And wouldn’t you still be able to track gains based on an increase in length even with a curve? I care about the length from my pelvic bone, even if I am measuring air. I personally don’t care if my length increases and my curve increases along with it and I end up with a net gain of 0.

Like I said, I don’t want to fool myself into thinking I have a longer cock than most people would see.

This may be a dumb question, but wouldn’t a curve feel more like an enhanced girth effect once inside the vagina, because any length loss will be felt as an enhanced girth gain because of the curve effect?

Starting Size: April, 28, 2010: NBPEL-7" Girth-6" (base, MSG, glans)

Currently: BPEL-8" NBPEL-7.25" Girth-6.25" (base)/6.125" (MSG)/6.125" (glans)

Good question bohm, could be true. I personally want to get rid of my curvature with an operation, but unfortunately there is no really satisfying one with low risk and many who get this done, suffer erectyle dysfunction, because nerves get cut etc.

Much of the time people will be seeing the underside of your penis if you are erect and laying down, or standing if you have a high erection angle, in which case the curve makes it longer, not shorter!

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

I can’t agree that the curve doesn’t contribute to the size when measuring “for bragging rights”, I think that’s just someone who is straight that wants those bragging rights to be harder to obtain

If I have a 10 foot rope that goes around a 180 degree fulcrum to create two 5 foot extents, it is not a five foot rope, it’s a ten foot rope

If you want to know your length for bragging rights then yes, you straighten it out exactly the way you would find the length of anything that had a bend in it, or you use a material tape and follow the curve

Of course I have quite a bend so I have a dog in this race but really, you don’t change the rules of measuring because it’s a penis

I also think it’s a mistake to change the bend through pe, you watch any porn, the straight cocks don’t look nearly as virile (or hard) as the bent cocks, pretty sure when you’re in bed with someone they want that thing to look so hard it bends up, not straight not down

If I could I would increase the bend

Very good point, dicks with pronounced upward curve always look much harder than straight ones.

It’s not really that you have someone to “cheat”. As far as I remember, nobody wrote a rulebook on how you measure, nor are there any rules. The whole point of measuring is so you can track your progress. So straighten yourself out :) . And no, it’s not cheating if you tell a girl your straightened out measure. Girls are bad at judging size anyway.

Most guys use APEL (anus pressed erect length) anyway, so straightening the curve is definitely not cheating.

It’s not only “not cheating”, it’s also going to give you far more accurate logging of gains

If you measure the true length, which is of course following the curve, that curve might change through your pe career so if you don’t measure the true length, (which is either straightening it out or using a material tape to follow the curve) then you can’t track your actual effectiveness of pe

Good points, the rope analogy is very good.

Side view too - a partner is going to “evaluate” your size from many angles, not just top-down-penis-size-study-measurement-angle.

I think it was Tazbonito who said he used “visible penis from the side” as a bragging rights measurement. Sort of makes sense to me, in my case that is the same or a little longer than my BPEL.

Now this is way off topic, but guys please help me with the concept of “bragging rights”.

Recently I was helping a friend move, and on of the other guys helping and I had a few conversations on break. He told several stories that were essentially saying “I have a really big dick.” I couldn’t help but think that maybe he didn’t have a big dick.

What would be the circumstances when you would want to tell somebody the exact length of your penis?

I think that a downward curve makes a cock look longer. I have an upward curve and measure it straightened out against the ruler; this adds a good half inch, which I know to be cheating, but it still gives me an ego boost.
