Is flaccid measured BP or NBP?

Is flaccid measured BP or NBP?

Wondering how flaccid is measured, after scoring quite high on calcSD? I think some of the studies used flaccid non-bone pressed length but maybe I’m wrong..

It’s usually NBP.

Why would you bother with a bone pressed measurement for flaccid? It doesn’t even make sense.

Why would you bother with a bone pressed erect length?

Ummm…

That’s the proper way to measure an erect penis.

BP measurement insures we are measuring from the same base point every time. Measure your flaccis non- pressed, and then pressed. What happens? Because you’re not erect, the penis will just move inward towards your pubic bone with the pressure applied by your fingers and the end of your tape. So it won’t make nearly as much difference as say, measuring when it is warm vs when it is cold, or when you have been sedentary vs after a bit of rigorous activity.

I think non-bone pressed is a given. However, there are a few other variables to consider:

  • Is the flaccid measured while hanging down, or lifted to be parallel with the floor (without stretching)?
  • Is the flaccid measured with a ruler or measuring tape?
  • Is the flaccid measured from the base of the body or the base of the scrotum?
Depending on how you measure, the result can easily vary by 1/2 - 1".

As someone said: The most accurate way is bone pressed, however there are other factors involved when flaccid, so maybe that’s why some sites measure flaccid non-BP

I wish the sites who show flaccid measurements would state which way they are measured on their site.

Thanks for the replies!

I always figured it was measured bone-pressed as they would want to eliminate the fat pad for the same reasoning as when erect (they are not attempting to measure bodyfat), plus if looking at growth between states, measuring non-pressed flaccid to bone-pressed erect would provide useless data.

That said, given the flaccid numbers, I find it hard to believe the pressed flaccid is that small (around 3”), as that would mean the non-pressed flaccid average would be in the 2-2.5” range.

Anything is possible. I’ve seen a lot of gyms at the gym who are between 2 and 2.5in flaccid. I’v e seen quite a number even smaller where you can hardly see if they even have a penis. I feel bad when I see that snd wish I had the guts to walk over and talk to them about pe.

Maybe, but still either way (if it is non-pressed or pressed), I still can’t wrap my head around being either 3.8 standard deviations above average to 5.6 above average. Granted even when I went to the gym more, I’m the guy who stairs at the wall and gets out as soon as possible (trying not to look at others at all).
