Can you truly gain a lot, do cementing for a while, stop completely and still keep your gains?

From the inventory found on this site, posted by veteran dick pullers, the answer is yes. That said, all the factors that determine gains apply to cementing. So, you should always keep in mind that you might not gain anything to begin with, let alone reach the point where you have to fine tune your routine for cementing. Many people have gained, then stopped for a prolonged period of time and the results were divided. Some people lost some of their gains, others did not.

It all depends. You will have to see how it works for you. Some people have also done maintenance work from time to time only and that has helped them keep their gains. For the most part, cementing is true and possible, but it does depend on your individual body, routine, and most importantly - time.

cementing? is that a permanant gain? how is that achieved? Isn’t that done the same way as it takes to make a less perm. gain?

Cementing is considered the final phase of PE, when one does a light routine to make his gains permanent. If you do a basic search you will find a abundance of information.
