Insomnia is disturbing my PE

Greetings

How can I get rid of insomnia? I haven´t slept for 3 nights and I feel exhausted. My EQ is gone and I can`t jelq
Also I feel quite depressed.

Just wanted to know, if I miss 2 days in my routine, will it have a bad effect on my growth?

You might try looking into Melatonin and St. John’s Wort.

Yes, Melatonin works well. If I am having trouble falling asleep I usually pop a 3 gram one. It comes in 3 different types; 1 gram, 3gram, and 5 gram. If you haven’t tried it before a 1 gram pill may work.

The first point to consider is do you suffer insomnia often or is this just a 1 off?

Point 2 . Is there anything worrying you which is keeping you awake. Are you taking any stimulants?

Do you do any exercise? if not then it might be worth trying some arm stretches and contractions as well as a few squats and push-ups. But only a few just to make you tired. (before you retire)

Don’t worry about your growth . In fact it might be better to stop PE completely, until you get some sleep. If you are doing your Pe before you go to bed that might be the cause of your insomnia. Try a different time slot.

We really need to know a bit more about your lifestyle etc. to give any factual advice. so a few more details might help if the insomnia continues..

Or have a word with your doctor.

Any all night barking dogs or howling coyotes? How about singing cats and emu’s having territorial conflicts with horses in the middle of the night? It sounds silly but that is just what goes no at the ranch next door to me. How about a dripping fountain? Now that will keep me up all night.

Try to find and eliminate sleep distractors.

Try running something that has a low hum like a fan on low. Is it warm enough in the room you sleep.

I am suffering from insomnia right now. Although I am loathe to recommend pills and the quick fix, in some scenarios, they can be effective. I am not using them now, and will cope tomorrow as I get sleepily through the day, but on occasion I have resorted to using a medically prescribed sleeping pill.

In my case, one Imovane (Zopiclone) tablet taken at bedtime gave me relief and afforded sleep during a particularly stressful couple nights when all else failed.

As others have mentioned, if I was having recurring insomnia, PE would be the least of my worries. Get the sleep on track, then the health on track, then the PE on track when the others have fallen into place. :)

Do you smoke or use some other stimulantia with nicotine in it? I used to have huge problems with insomnia until I quit nicotine last year. Now I sleep like a baby.

Hey, I’m a huge insomniac too and I’ve learned a few tricks to cope with it:

- Buy a blind to put over your eyes. The elimination of ambient light and the total darkness that you get from closing your eyes with something dark over them helps sleep quality and helps falling asleep.

- Go to sleep at the same time every day, regardless of pressures. I’m a college student right now and recently I’ve decided go to sleep at 2:00 AM every night regardless of what work is left undone. In the past week this has worked wonders for my insomnia.

- Diphenhydramine HCL, the active ingredient in benadryl, puts me to sleep really well. The only problem is your body quickly builds up a temporary resistance to the drowsiness effect if you take it for days on end (from my experience). The good part is you’ll never get dependent on the stuff, but the bad news is you can’t use it all the time.

That’s all the help I can give without redirecting you to any sites or the like. People have already linked a bunch of stuff here, though.

If you don’t have an aversion to illegal substances, marijuana can be a great sleep aid. If you’re in the right states, you could get a medical card to use it for insomnia. I noticed after using benadryl too many nights in a row, I felt hungover and slightly sick. I talked to friends and they had experienced the same thing. It is also a habit forming chemical dependency. But to each their own. For the record I think people are too fast to jump on medications and substances to fix sleep problems. Often it can be fixed with adequate (and much needed) exercise and stretching. I would say get good exercise everyday, stretch before bed, and use other chemicals as a last solution.
