I have recently started PEing and have been on the linear newbie routine for about 3 weeks now. If I don’t see any gains, how do I know whether to increase the number of jelqs or to increase the intensity/pressure?

Always increase time/frequence for first.

Check to make sure the quality of the movements are spot on. 200 half assed jelqs are not as good as 75 great quality ones. Once you’ve made sure that you are not lapsing in your technique, increase the time.

What sorts of signs or feelings would distinguish a good,quality movement vs a non-good quality movement?Please help.

IMO, you should aim for slow jelqs, and you should feel and see blood moving with the grip. If you are just pulling the skin, jelqs will be ineffective.

As somebody once said around here, it should feel like squeezing cake frosting forward in a plastic bag.

Another way to put it would be to say that your dick should be really engorged in front of your fingers as you move your grip forward, and merely stretched and thin behind your grip. At least for a dry jelq, anyway. I gave up on wet jelqs as I found them too messy and the slippery oil actually inhibited control.

This. You should see the area in front of your hands expanding and pressure in front of your hands increasing. It’s hard to explain but you will know when you did a perfect jelq.
