Hi guys,

I joined the site not for enlargement but actually to try and improve my erection stamina. I’m 35 and I find that after a few minutes my erections during sex get weak and soft. I’m in good shape, I’m slim, lifting weights and started doing cardio.

I also eat healthy foods.

I don’t know if it’s normal for erections to get soft after a few minutes of thrusting or not.

For many years I used to masturbate to porn and had fetish porn (lesbian porn) and I’ve been porn free for a few weeks. However my erections are still erratic. I just want to my erections, when I get them, to last longer before getting soft.

So edging .. Is there any evidence that it actually helps with erection stamina? I just would like to hear from those more experienced.

Edging would help with EQ. But porn free edging of course. Also get some cayenne and ginger supplements. It helps with blood circulation. Also, get your testosterone levels tested.

Just staying away from porn and increasing your arousal stimuli back to how it should be will help with your EQ tremendously.

Edging I have heard (though I do not have clear evidence myself) can help very much with erection performance. Maybe a vet or two will speak on behalf of that.

I’m only speaking from personal experience and I have no science to back it up, but it’s helped me. When I started I set a timer to see how long I could go at my hardest and then just worked on trying to go for longer. Cardio and good diet should help too.


Started under 6", now I'm over 7" and going for 8"

You would think at 35 you would understand your own erections pretty intimately but I feel my erections are alien to me. For example, at work, during my lunch break, I can look at a girl in a swimsuit and after a minute I’ll be rock hard.

When I get home later that day, I’m watching a hot girl on TV and .I have a semi. It’s soft, as if it wants to get hard, but it’s not. And no matter how hard I try, it can’t get rock hard. It’s just weird. Other times I’ll get rock hard erections just by texting on whats app. :) The same goes for at night, at times I can get an erection just thinking about sexual things, other times, I can’t get an erection no matter how hard I try. It’s weird, and I don’t know if it’s because of porn or porn fetishes I’ve had, or something else.

I’m just trying to reset at this point. For me, it’s a two-fold problem - frequency of erections and then erection stamina. It’s not that I can’t get erections at all, but that they don’t always occur when they should. I don’t want to masturbate frivolously so if edging can help me with erection stamina, I’m all for it.

Frequency of erections, I assume is a brain/arousal reset mechanism so staying away from porn I would assume should help.

Porn can affect your erections very negatively. So try to stay clear.

Edging will really help, but don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It all takes time. You don’t correct things in a week. Everything takes time.

I’m 36 and I have a similar problem. Was banging a girl and couldn’t stay hard enough. Thought it was a physical issue but turned out to be more porn induced ED than anything. To help with the EQ, I’ve been edging without porn as part of my porn detox and instead visualizing some of the moments I’d like to do again with that girl in an attempt to reprogram my stimulus for arousal.

My other issue that I can’t for the life of me figure out is that I can’t orgasm during sex. I’ve never been able to. I can orgasm via masturbation no problem.

I suspect the problem is death grip and how over time my brain has wired itself to think that that degree of stimulation is necessary to orgasm which normal sex can’t provide. So I can bang for 2-3 minutes .. Try again .. Etc. I’ve never actually tested this, so it’s possible I can orgasm and it just takes a LONG time. But I don’t know.

Goodness, so many problems, so little time. Some girls might like that I don’t orgasm so quickly, but I don’t find it fulfilling in the least. I start to get numb after while. I’m hoping a detox will help - I’ve never gone without masturbation/porn for more than 3 months, so I’m hoping that might resolve my issues.

I’ll try edging as well because honestly I have to try everything I can. Glad I’m on here, great place and great folks too!

See my concern regarding edging is that after reading a lot on other forums, edging primarily seems to help guys who ejaculate prematurely. Now I DON’T suffer from that problem. I have the opposite problem. :D

It allows them to last longer. But as far as maintaining a strong erection for long, I’m not sure if edging helps in that way. I could be completely wrong on this and I’m prepared to put in the work, but I’m just trying to understand the mechanics of it all.

I was a little over 20 years older than the OP, started a relationship with a terrific lady, and experienced for the first time some problems with EQ.

I would occasionally have difficulty obtaining and then keeping an erection. There were other times where I could get an erection easily and keep it but I would have difficulty reaching an orgasm.

Pretty much the same issues as OP.

I didn’t want to start taking chemicals so I did some research and found this place. I saw stories where guys could improve EQ through PE.

So I tried it.

Started with the Newbie Routine, kept at it and within a couple of months saw a slow, steady improvement in EQ. Part of the Newbie Routine includes kegels which are important to good EQ.

That was over three years ago, I’m now 60, and my EQ is very good. Not like it was 30 years ago, mind you, but still very good.

I found that as a result of PE, my increased size made it easier for me to achieve orgasm and I don’t ever have to worry anymore about taking too long. My partner orgasms faster now too, much faster.

I’ve been edging consistently for the last year or so and I do believe it helps with overall EQ, not just premature ejaculation. 10 or 15 minutes of edging at the end of a session is great for healing and also cementing gains.

I highly recommend it.

So to the OP, if you stay away from porn, do some kegels and regular edging, I believe you’ll get your EQ where you want it to be. It might take a couple of months but you’ll get there.

Thank you for your words of encouragement! Last night, I saw this picture of a hot girl in a revealing swimsuit. No erection whatsoever, so matter how hard I tried. It’s weird, how my erections are triggered. Some times I can get a rock hard erection just by what sapping a girl, other times it can be from a picture but only at the right time - other times it just doesn’t work.

Do any of you have the same type of issues? The triggers for erections? My other concern is that I can’t remember the last time I was forced to wake up because of erections. I’m in good shape, I have 1/4 cup of spinach daily with 1 banana, 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds. I even ate 2 cloves of garlic .. And when I woke up in the middle of the night I had a semi.

On the day I lifted heavy weights and did some cardio. I heard that if you can get a strong erection in the morning that is a sign of good health. So this is concerning me now. I don’t know what I need to change in my lifestyle - I’m doing exercise every day, I’m eating right, I drink lots of water, I don’t smoke nor have I had any alcohol in the past month, I’m very slim but muscular.

I guess my issues are multiple - frequency of erections, sustained quality of erections, morning erections etc. I guess my first step is to avoid porn but does that mean also not looking at girls in swimsuits too, or is that classified as the same thing?
