Hi guys,
The first time I heard about jelqing I think 8 years ago (in a magazine called Busty) I was sceptical but had to try it. I know now that I didn’t do it right and of course it didn’t work. I had also tried pumping but used too much pressure and got erection problems so I stopped. I tried jelqing again a few years back and did some hanging as well. I used a home made hanger that I found on a homepage, I think an older version of Tom Hubbards page. No results, I didn’t PE for more than 6 weeks and wasn’t to sure about how to do it so I stopped.

I finally found this place or rather I finally decided to read some of the threads and learn something. I had been checking the site before but wasn’t a believer due to my earlier failures.

Anyway I started jelqing and after a month my dick was harder and to my girlfriend it felt bigger. It didn’t show when I measured but it sure looked fatter, not longer though. I was encouraged but had to stop. I was away on a trip and surrounded by people 24/7 for 4 weeks. When I got back it took a while before I started over. I only jelqed for 1 month and the result this time was that I had a hard time getting hard. I read some and realised that I had overworked my poor prick. I then started all over again. With a newbie program this time. I stopped stretching a week ago after almost 2 months because I bought a Penimaster and figured this would do the same for me as stretching. I know the principle is not the same but I kind of like to wear the PM and do not enjoy stretching as much. Anyway it has been three months now and I have built up to 30 min of jelqing 5 days a week and have used the PM 3 h/day since I bought it. I also kegel at least 4 days a week a minimum of 100 k/day.

About loosing faith. I measured today and there are no gains what so ever. I’m not longer and the girth is just the same. I thought that jelqing itself would generate girth gains but not so for me. Is there anyone else out there who didn’t see gains the first 3 months and got gains in the months after? I will continue since I do believe it works. I trust the PM especially since the theory of cell-growth seems very logical but I feel a bit disappointed. I would love to see some gains so that I could become a “knower” not just a believer :)

Any advice from you gainers out there?

I didn’t know about Thunder’s when I was jelqing and it was over 3 months before I started seeing gains. Looking back, I had come across somewhere on the internet about doing fowfers (I don’t think they called it that though), but I was leary of sitting on my dick so I only did them now and then. Even though jelqing was my main PE, I feel I need to mention fowfer in case it contributed any to my length gains. Perhaps all the jelqing I was doing helped the occasional fowfer have a good effect. As I now know, fowfers are known for working well for flaccid length but it’s unclear how well they work for erect length. It’s hard to imagine getting really good length results with just jelqing alone, and this is why I have my belief the fowfers played a part. Anyway, the length and girth gain started coming in slowly into the 4th month.

Gaining is a slow road for many of us, and lenght is especially difficult for me. It is not unusual for it to take at least 3 months for gains to start…you will perfect your exercises over the course of 6 months to a year. Make sure you warm up properly for at least 5 minutes, a rice sock works the best for me. I am just about to reack the 1 -year mark, and you just have to stick with it…think of it as a lifestyle rather than a constant struggle.

Newbies should start with the newbie routines recommended here at Thunder’s, especially for safety reason, before trying anything considered more advance. Patience is a solid gold virtue in PE.

I’m still sort of a Newbie, about 3-4 months in. I have been consistent and stuck with PE for this time period.

I joined here about a month into PE, and based on others experiences, I’m not going to measure till 6 months. <— I think I’ve written that about 1000 times, so there are probably people yawning now.

Anyway, I have noticed more activity, i.e. morning Woodrows, which I hadn’t gotten in a long time, and I do some from a little E.D., so “something” has improved healthwise.

To my eye, point in time, I look exactly the same. My thought is, I can do this for a year or more, and see what happens, or a year can pass without me doing this, and then I would wonder if I could have enlarged it.

I know what you mean, sometimes it feels tighter in the Wife, but that could be her, or maybe I am slightly swelled up a little from PE. Time will tell.

Just wanted to tell you to hang in there.


It took my forth attempt at PE before seeing any results. I just kept strokin’, hopin’ it would work. The reason I never got discouraged was that though I did not see gains I was getting much better and more frequent erections. Now I’ve gained almost an inch and its all good.

Hang in there and make sure you stay consistant, that is the key.

Motivation is a fickle creature. Some days I’ll read a thread here, or hear an offhanded comment by a girl, or maybe watch an xxx clip where the girl is really reacting to the actor’s generous piece. The workouts that follow are generally intense and bring about fatigue quite well. Some days I just want to throw in the towel, have a nice hot wrap and massage and then go to bed but I keep plodding on. You have to, too.

DirkGently, first go ahead and measure your LOT for me. There’s always the possibility you were working the wrong limiting factor and need to start now. We can help ease you into a good stretching routine, and if that doesn’t work we can up the intensity, tweak some things, etc. Don’t give up man, we’re here for you. Got any other questions? Just ask.

First of all - thank you guys! I’m moved buy your encouraging and fast replies. I read them last night but was too tired to answer. At least I slept well :)

In order of appearance:
You’re absolutely right about doing a newbie routine in the beginning. I learnt this the hard way. No bad injuries but erection problems. I’m fine now though. I read about fowfers but since they seem to be more or less useless for erect gains I decided not to do them now. I guess I will want to become a shower once I gained some erect length and will know that I have something to show :)

I started doing warm-up after approx a month. I also heat wrap after PE which feels great and make my dick look real fat especially when using a cock-strap. Nice! I do enjoy PE so I don’t see it as a struggle, I just got depressed because of the poor results. I will stick with it for sure, just needed some encouragement which all you guys readily provided.

I’ve observed that my erections are harder and that the little guy looks darker as an effect of more blood I guess. These are of course good results and worth the effort so yes I will hang in there! By the way Sixer I’m impressed by your determination not to measure for six months. I myself am to afraid to do something wrong and not realising it in time “wasting” my time on ineffective PE.

I’ve read some but not all of the log you posted. Impressive going on for almost 3,5 years without gains. I hope I won’t have to. But there is a little problem. My LOT is very low, I’d say 6:30. I have known this ever since I read about it 2 months back but kind of put it in the back of my mind. I guess it’s time to face it. I would appreciate a good stretching routine very much. Do you think that using the PM in an upwards position is a good thing for me? That’s what I’ve been doing since I got it. It is more comfortable than pointing it down so I really do hope so. I don’t think I would like to hang at this point. Any way of avoiding this?

DirkGently, glad to see your spirits are up! Also, I have seen the term LOT frequently and tried to find it in the PE glossary but was unsuccessful. What exactly is LOT?
