I think this is a scar or pimple, can you help

Okay guys, here’s what happened:

A couple weeks ago, I decided to see what dry jelqing would feel like. I went very slow and controlled just to be safe.

However, on the 4th jelq, I felt a very small tearing sensation near the lower-right area of my shaft. By the way, the word “tear” is rather extreme to use in describing this situation but just think of it as a very small cut.

Anyway, I stopped jelqing when I felt this and decided to wash the area. Now here’s the problem: a couple days later I notice that there is a small reddish bump on my dick exactly where the cut took place.

There’s also a white head and I’m thinking it’s just a pimple because it has the same exact attributes of a pimple. Slightly reddish, sensitive to the touch, small white head that can be drained. And there’s only 1, not many. The only difference is that the bump is kinda hard, yet it drains very easily.

My question is have any of you guys successfully gotten rid of something like this? I’m applying benzoyl peroxide cream 2-3 times a day and that seems to be helping so far. I just don’t want this tiny bump to stay on my dick because that is absolutely annoying.

P.S.- I was recently tested for HIV & STDs and came back 100% clean. So I’m sure this has nothing to do with what I’m experiencing.

Sounds like infected wound to me. I got something similar after yanking out hairs on my shaft and ballsac a few times.

A couple years ago, I decided to shave my armpits. After a few weeks of hair growing back, I noticed the exact same type of hard pimple in my armpit. So I let it go and didn’t think much of it.

Then one day it became swollen like crazy and I had to go on antibiotics in order to get rid of it. I ended up popping it when it was small enough and this area in my arm is back to normal & flat again.

I’m thinking if it doesn’t show signs of decreasing in a couple of days that I’ll have it checked out. But I would still appreciate your guys’ replies & information in case you have experience with the same thing.

Neosporin is commonly recommended by guys in your neck of the woods for that kind of stuff.

Myself, I’m impatient and tend to just grab a needle or pop it. I know popping and draining is frowned upon, but I prefer that to having shit fester.

Sounds like you broke the skin and got a small infection, pop some tea tree on it or something that usually does the trick.

I read that tea tree oil has been used widely for infections against bacteria, viruses, fungus, etc.

Anyway, have any of you had experience with successfully using tea tree oil for completely getting rid of an infection?

Your immune system should take care of it for the most part, tea tree will just speed it up.

Yep I’ve used tea tree for a bunch of stuff, hard to think of what off hand but it’s usually my ‘go to’ thing for minor infections and the like.

UPDATE:

Hey guys, just thought I’d give you a quick update as to how everything ended up working out.

So I did some research online and found out that benzoyl peroxide is often used for acne related situations. And since the area of concern on my dick looked like a pimple, I decided to check it out. Some places recommended salicylic acid but it’s actually the anti-bacterial qualities of benzoyl peroxide that make it far superior in this situation.

But be careful, benzoyl peroxide is a bleaching agent so use with caution.

Secondly, I went to a dermatologist and had her check me out. She said that it wasn’t herpes or genital warts but only a minor infection. She recommended I use bacitracin zinc ointment on the infected area.

After about using the ointment for a week (I didn’t use the benzoyl peroxide with the bacitracin zinc ointment), my pimple has now returned to normal and guess what? There were actually 2 ingrown hairs in there, lol. Everything is cool now and I just wanted to share my experience with the board in case anyone else goes through the same thing in the future.

I highly recommend seeing a dermatologist just to make sure you don’t have herpes or warts, this is very important!
