I don't understand uli's

I have read the description, looked at the pics, and watched the videos, but I don’t see how it is different from jelqing. Other than a tighter grip and squeezing 5 times just before the glans, how is it different? ulistretch said in his thread he doesn’t use a milking motion to move his finger ring up the penis, but what other kind of movement is there? He seemed to indicate possibly a jerky motion where he moves his finger ring up about an inch at a time really quick then holds it, but I wasn’t sure. Can someone please explain this to me? I don’t know why I can’t understand it.

First off, don’t squeeze “just before the glans.” Don’t the uli videos show the grip at about mid-shaft? Avoid getting too close to the glans, whether you’re jelqing or doing ulis. There’s a bundle of nerves that you want to avoid. Also, avoid putting too much pressure on the nerve running along the top of the shaft. (I learned this one the hard way and had to take a 10-week break.) Check out the anatomy threads.

Second, how long have you been doing PE? Ulis are a more advanced exercise — I wouldn’t do them at all until you have a couple of months of the newbie routine under your belt.

Ok, now let me try to explain the difference for me:

With a jelq, the stroke starts at the base and moves up along the entire length of the shaft, and the grip is loose enough to allow this. The grip allows some of the blood to pass backwards so that the stroke can continue.

With an uli, the grip starts near the base, but only moves up an inch or so before the “back-pressure” stops the grip from moving forward towards the glans. The grip is tight enough (a “tourniquet grip”) so that no blood can pass backwards. The grip should be so tight that you can’t push the stroke along any farther.

You’ve only been back doing PE for a month, you shouldnt even be thinking about Ulis for another 2 months at least.

I thought when jelqing, you are supposed to release right at the base of the head. Why are you saying you want to avoid that?

Just be careful with the glans, that’s all. You certainly wouldn’t want to do a Uli by “squeezing 5 times just before the glans” as the OP says.
