If I were to just do a basic routine w/o changing much of the intensity.for say like.a year.are gains probably not going to happen?

It seems to me that if you just do a basic routine religiously VERY VERY gradually increasing the intensity (see: squeezing harder) over a period of many many months, is that a way to get gains, or are you just wasting your time?

I think that depends on whether the routine you have chosen is the right one for you given the time you have and your own tissue chemistry.

A major problem in PE, it being a long-term thing, is boredom. If you are making gains steadily, you don’t get bored. If not, you do and the work becomes drudgery.

Some guys are just injury prone, too. What works for you or me might be anathema to Steve.
