New here and really going for girth gains.

However, I’m somewhat worried about damaging my penis, especially in girth focused moves due to my high pain tolerance.

So, from other member’s personal experience, how tight do you hold your piece? In some moves it is said that blood shouldn’t be able to pass through your grip. Is that even possible? Is it ineffective to even try to get certain girth gains if my piece is too hard and I can’t visibly see any enlargement when I clinch? Do I absolutely need heat to make gains, and if I’m not sore after did I still accomplish something?

Take it easy on the grip when you first start.you don’t want to give a death grip right at the beginning when your unit isn’t accustomed to that kind of pressure. Just start gentle and move up. Unfortunately everyone is different and there is no set pressure to grip during jelqs (I assume that’s what you are asking about). You will just have to find that happy medium for your unit yourself. You will know, it’ll just feel right. But search around the site, there are plenty of people who have asked this same question that already have already provided some insight.

So you should be anywhere between 50-80% erect and your grip shouldn’t cause any pain, not even discomfort. Your penis should be pleasantly pumped after the jelq session, not beaten-off. Hope this helps.

I started about a month ago. I did the regular newbie routine first. (5 minutes Jelqs, 5 Minutes stretches) I overstretched and the ligament on the right side of my pelvis was tender. 4 days of recovery. I then switched to the linear gains routine and noticed that it said ‘focus on quality of jelqs’. I took that for force. I got to about 50% erection and started basically making my unit balloon. It was a bit too much. I lost sensitivity actually. Another 4 days of rest to let feeling come back.

When I restarted I found that a jelq at about masturbation levels of force for me was perfect. It gave me a bit of ache and a full feeling when flaccid. Start off gently. I can now reach much higher levels of pressure after 3 weeks without feeling adverse effects.

Scurrilious, Sounds like you have found a happy medium. It’s all about trial and error to find out what your body responds to best it seems.
