How should kegels feel

Sorry if this was already posted but I’ve been searching the forums for a while now and I can’t seem to find the answer

When you do a kegel how exactly should it feel ? When I “squeeze” the muscle I feel as if I’m flexing my stomach as well and also it’s hard to breathe

Is it better to do a kegel standing up or sitting down ? I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me how to do a kegel properly because it’s been confusing me for a while now

The best way to get a sense of what a kegel feels like is, next time you take a piss stop your urine mid-flow. Now hold it and breath into your belly. If you feel tension in your lower abdomen, try and focus on relaxing it while holding the kegel contraction. It should feel like you are ‘pinching’ you urethra closed in the perineum area. You might also notice that your anal sphincter is slightly clenched as well, but this is fine.

You can do kegels in any position—sitting, lying down, standing, walking, driving, whatever.

If you can’t breathe you’re trying too hard. Kegels are actually rather gentle and very easy to do. Another way to locate the muscle is this: the next time you have an erection make your dick bounce up and down. Each time it moves up you’re doing Dr. Kegel’s exercise. Your abdominals shouldn’t be involved.

So holding your dick up as long as you can is just holding a long kegel?
