How often to measure

Hello, today I want to ask you guys how often do you measure? I´ve been doing PE for nearly 3 months now, 16 days with bath mate. I Jelq 5 days a week, using bath mate 5 days a week on the same days and usually I do some edging after, now I added some stretching to the routine. No erect gains yet. I have been measuring like every other day during edging, that’s not really right is it? :D

I also want to ask, is it safe to try some erect bath mate sessions? Let me know, thank you!

Measuring should be done very infrequently. I’ve been doing my measurements about every 2 months but it’s really suggested about every 3. I plan to get on this 3 month routine of measuring after my next. Hope this helps.

Start 11/20/16 ====> 5.75" BPEL/ 4.5" EG. 1/19/17====> 6.625" BPEL/ 4.75" EG. 11/24/17====> 6.75" BPEL/ 4.75" EG.

Glad to be here.and making progress! :jelq: Check it out at: This is your life: My cock in pictures.

Firstly, you are way overtraining. That’s too much per day and too many days in a row.

Measuring is really 4 weeks at the earliest. The more often you measure, the less gains you’ll see usually. “A watched pot never boils” kind of thing. But…I would scale back that routine. Just a suggestion.

Now: 9" BPEL x 6.25" MSEG as of 11/10/2019 This is my story, a few progress pics of me here, and all my methods.

Then: 6.25" x 4.37" in 8/2009 Are you new to PE? Here's some advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.

My Extender and forward to 10" and balls enhancement project. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *10* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith.

Hey Phil_phil_phil_phil!

Normally you’re looking to see changes after about a month of changing your routine, so measurements shouldn’t be more frequent than once a month… once in two months… Of course you can take several measurements around your measuring point (to account for EQ and such) but frequent measurements are more likely to just discourage you when you don’t see any improvements over 3 days and when you see temporary expansion and the weeks after you don’t see that again. Limit it. Measure every now and then, once a month, maybe 2 months. It’s not like measuring is going to make gains go faster anyway. Good luck!

February '16: 173 mm BPEL (6.81") 132 mm MEG (5.20")

November '18: 190 mm BPEL (7.48") 137 mm MEG (5.39")

Goal: A sustained 7.7" by 5.8" during intercourse

As a beginner to P.E, I measured for the first time after completing 3.5 months of P.E. This length of time helped prevent the frustration that could arise from measuring on a more frequent basis and not seeing significant gains. It also served as a psychological reward, as I could look forward to the gains to be seen on the ruler/tape. I’ll say anywhere between 2 - 3 months is the best way to go.

"Penis Enlargement (PE) is a Personal Endeavor for Personal Enhancement to Progressive Excellence which takes Commitment, Consciousness, Comprehension, Competency, and Consistency to Succeed"

About the bathmate, erect sessions are ok and you’ll probably see better expansion that way, Be sure to keep the pressure low especially since you’re only 16 days in.

Do you have any plans for scaling down your routine?

In most areas of my life I practice the rule that “you can’t manage what you don’t measure”, so I measure progress often. But with PE it’s the opposite, I hardly measure. I haven’t had a proper measurement in about 3 months, I’ll probably measure again at the end of the month, which would make it about 4 months.

But still, it is important to measure at regular intervals so you know that you’re doing the right things.

There are a few reasons why I don’t measure more often:

First of all, measuring is a chore. My dick shrinks whenever I bring a ruler or tape measure to it. So I spend most of the time trying to “sneak up” on my dick when it isn’t looking to measure it.

Second, I have been very discouraged in the past by lack of gains when measuring too often.

The third reason is related to the previous point: Not measuring very often helps me to focus on enjoying the process and instead of focusing on the goal. Don’t get me wrong, the goal is still supremely important. But in a game of millimetre gains, constantly comparing myself to the goal can be very frustrating.

Fourth, My whole PE practice centres around positive PI (physiological indicators). I know that if I do my exercises properly and maintain positive PI, then I am gaining. That’s my basic assumption, and I don’t question it. So this enables me to not measure often.

Fifth, when you measure too quickly and see a small gain of one or two mm, you don’t know if it’s real or simply down to imperfect measuring. When you see a small loss, you also don’t know if it real or just lower EQ at the time.

Still it is important to measure at regular intervals, especially if you’re a newbie. But not so often that you get discouraged. It takes a while for gains to kick in, and for any adjustments to your routine to yield results. So I would say a minimum of 4 weeks is a good interval, and I choose much longer intervals.

If you learn to be in tune with your PI you will get a quicker indication of whether or not you’re doing the right things than a ruler will give.

Very well described Eponymous!

Thank you all guys, I knew I was discouraged by lack of measurable gains, I just need any support here :) .. About changing my routine, well, I want to do as many kind of things as possible to be making different kinds of pressure. I’m still learning so ill see where it takes me to. Maybe I just do 5 minutes less of everything and see. :D

I never measure. I like to feel the change rather than look for it

At least I know I’m not the only one with this issue. It’s the magic “boner killer” wand. Haha!!

Honestly bro, it’s a much smarter approach to use the least amount of force possible for gains for a couple reasons.

One being, conditioning takes its toll. Naturally your dick is going to get tougher to be able to handle the forces your applying to it. Conditioning makes it harder to gain. Eventually you need more force to produce gains.

If you use a more simple force at first and gain, Fantastic. Keep it low force until gains stop. Then add more volume (more jelqs) or more pressure. Adding more volume is more sensible then more force.

The second reason for taking a less forceful approach is, you’re much less likely to injure yourself. I’d hate to hear you sustained an injury because you want a bigger dick now instead of it taking a few months to see a change in size.

Both of those things happened to me.

When I first started, I did bathmate and some jelqing. Not enough jelqing and too much bathmate. I did gain but conditioning quickly set in from pumping too much and too High pressure. I hit a wall and gained nothing more for many months.

I took a decon break and then started gaining again with only 50 jelqs and manual stretching. I used low pressure, and focused on slow, quality jelqs and made sure to get full expansion without going into the discomfort zone. This was awesome. I decided to add clamping. That made me gain even faster but I added too much and ended up with a nerve damage injury. I’m currently healing and watching my gains disappear. An injury is never worth quick gains, as exciting as the gains may be.

Don’t let the bigger dick demon in your head get you bro. You have plenty of time to gain. Don’t rush, don’t over condition and don’t hurt yourself.

Just my humble advice. Best of luck bro

Listen to this man. This is the truth. I’m serious.

Absolutely right! Same thing happens to me with the ruler, too funny. Or when I try to take a pic.

As for your routine, well….your gonna end up like me. I started out many years ago jelqing, stretching, edging and it worked. I stopped for a long time and came back two years ago. I have an addiction problem so I want instant gratification and I obsess and get compulsive about PE since I’m clean I need something to behave this way over. So I like you bought not one but TWO bathmates and the instant gratification hooked me like a drug. Now in two years of different routines I’ve gained back what I lost in length and gained a good amount of girth that I believe isn’t permanent because I don’t stop pumping for more then one day at a time..again addict behavior. The problem I have now is my dick is so tough I can’t reach my modest goal without hanging and I have to hang heavy weights because my dick is so tough. That will be YOU if you don’t put that pump down for at least 3 months and do the newbie routine. Listen to the advice given here or in a year you’ll find yourself hanging 12 pound off your little buddy and cursing yourself because it takes lots of time and dedication to hang. Sad the thing for me is I’m only going for another 1/2 inch in length and I know it’s going take going back to hanging 2 hours a day to get it. Trust me it’s not fun to be basically tied down for over 2 hours a day with breaks in between sets.

Thanks for the tips guys. I think I’ll aim to measure once every three months - measuring every single week and not being able to see any gains must be so demoralising!
