How much rest between sessions?

How much rest between sessions?

What is the ideal amount of time to leave between sessions? Say I start at 6pm and finish at 7pm, could I then do my next session at 6am(12hours rest) or should I wait a full 24 hours?

Completely up to you and the type of PE you are doing.

If your body is giving you negative feedback then adjust

Everybody is different and as bhcentral posted, it all depends on the type of PE you are doing, but is it working for you. My wife and I did my PE exercise 5 days on and 2 days off after work hours. We did this 6 weeks on and took 2 week off. My routine was a really advanced one after I conditioned my unit. It is all up to you, but remember, too much can be just that, Too Much! You can end up Plateauing and if that happens, you may as well take 3 to 6 months off and start over.

How long is a piece of string?! We haven’t a clue what your routine is so it is impossible to advise you.

I personally think 24 hours between session’s is very good and will not cause any drop in EQ , remember that if you have over-training yourself or if your feeling fatigue then you need more time to heal .


Started:BPEL=5.0" x MEG=4.6 .(actually I was between 4.9 and 5 so I went with 5)

Now:BPEL= 6.3 x MEG=4.8 .. :) Final goal = 7.0 BPEL x 5.2 MEG.

Heat is the key!

This is my opinion.

Take a rest day every other day to start with and slowly work up to doing it every day, then multiple times day. Keep the duration lower, but up the frequency, that way you can still manipulate non-PE variables to continue gaining- IE hormones. Plus, you’ll keep things like friction burn to a minimum because skin heals fast. Really though, the main reason for multiple sessions a day is that fascia and ligaments don’t return to complete rigidity until at least 6 hours later. In that case, you should be able to further elongate them, provided you do at least 2 minutes total time under tension during each session. If you rest too much, you will slowly get thicker tendons that resist stretch better.
