Hi, we always say that the correct way to measure lenght is bp, but I never understand how much pressure need to do at the ruler in bp measurement? only lightly onto the pubic bone or harder?

seriously, what pressure? because in some sites it’s write that we have to press lightly but here in thunderplace it’s write only that we have to press but not how much, if I press very lightly on the top I measure 6.7

Short answer is this == Doesn’t matter, just do it consistently. The point of measuring is to track your PE gains over time, so just measure the same way every time.

For me I just want to make sure the ruler is solidly touching the pubic bone.

Because I want to measure my penis, not my fat pad.

If you want to be sure that you are being completely consistent, it may be best to press in until no further length registers on the ruler which will require a good bit of force. If that is too uncomfortable, press in to the point of discomfort and not beyond.

I’ve been using one of those folding carpenter’s ruler. It has a smaller cross section than a regular ruler and I get right to the bone without too much effort. When I use a regular wooden ruler I have to push much harder to get the same measurement.

I think consistent body position also matters as well.

When I was trying to get my first measurements I kind of had to lean back and slightly position my pelvis higher. I found there to be less fat that I had to push through to reach my pubic bone. Luckily my bathroom sink is elevated, so when I measure I can keep the same body position each time

Did this about 3 to 4 times and got the same measurement.

I think you can achieve the same sort of thing by just slouching in a chair, then taking the measurement as well.


Start (Jan 2011): FL=8.75cm(3.44") BPEL=18.35cm (7.22") EG=11.6cm(4.56")

Current: FL=10.50cm(3.94") BPEL=19.55cm (7.69") EG=13.25cm(5.21")

Goal: BPEL=19.1cm (7.5") EG=14.0cm(5.5") and reduce my fat pad!
