How many rest days is best

This question should apply to guys who have experienced gains. I’ve noticed there are different schools of thought on rest days. Some guys believe that you shouldn’t take rest days and others do. How many days a week do you guys rest if at all?

I usually rest 1-2 days a week 6 on 1 off sometimes 5 on 2 off depends how I feel. Every now and then when I feel like it I take about a week off. I find so far most times after the week off It feels great getting back into my routine. So far since taking on hanging April 20th 2009 I gained .75” NBPEL and 1.0” BPEL I think my fat pad went down a little that’s why I gained more BPEL. I hit a plateau in late July early August because until this month I was not gaining I took off almost 2 weeks started again and I almost measure now 6.625 BPEL I was 6.5 for the last 2 months. My starting size was 5.5” BPEL 4.75 NBPEL so I think rest is essential how much depends how much you train and how hard just do not overdo it. I have been doing PE since I registered here but I was very inconsistent with no real routine mostly just jelqing from my register day till April 2009 when I got my bib hanger and made a routine I have been very consistent since then and it is paying off. Good luck man gains are real I am aiming for 7” NBPEL x 5.75”-6”.

Rest days are critical. If you don’t take them, you aren’t going to gain (most likely) and you might injure yourself.

When I was PE-ing full time, it was 2 days on / 1 day off - 3 days on / 1 day off. Of course, sometimes you naturally take a day off just ‘cause life gets busy, so work that to your advantage. Gains from this routine over a 5 month period was .75”.

Now I PE lightly and usually do 3 days on / 1 day off. Waiting to see how long it takes me to get another .25” on this routine.

I would not exceed more than 2 days off in a row unless you are doing a decon break.

I like to do 2 on 1 off and take a 5 day break every 2 months or so.

I feel like if I take any more than a day off it takes forever to get back to fatigue doing manuals, but it depends entirely on your routine, intensity, and your body’s ability to heal itself. Some heal faster than others.

I like to think of it like a graph with three horizontal lines. The first is zero stress, or your penis as it is when you are not doing PE. This line is on the bottom. The second line is fatigue. You have to do enough excercise to raise the condition of your penis from the first line to above the fatigue line to make any gains. The third line is the injury line. It is on the top and should NEVER be crossed. If PE raises the condition of your penis and rest days lower it then the goal is to hover between fatigue and injury without letting your penis go back to its normal state.

Starting (10 / 2006): 5.5 NBP, 5 BG ----> Current: 7.5 NBP, 8 BP, 5.6 BG ----> Goal: Pringles

Well said Greenlights - I think generally rest days are more important when focusing on girth also. More or less daily stretching seems to be well tolerated in most.

I agree, I almost never took rest days when I was hanging, because I always had a good EQ and no negative PI’s. I’m now on my last girth experiment and I do 5 hardcore days on and 2 days off. So far I’ve gained… I don’t dare to measure yet :) .

Start: 6.3 BPEL x 4.5 MSEG & 4.5 BSEG

Now: 7.7 x 4.7 x 5.5 BSEG

Goal: 8 x 6
