How long does it take for permanent penis shrinkage to occur

I’ve recently developed erectile dysfunction from a possible penis injury. And I’m trying to abstain from all sexual activity in order to hopefully heal my penis. But one thing I’m terrified about is penis shrinkage. I hear that the tissue in your penis permanently shrinks if you’re not getting regular erections. That’s not a problem for most people even if they’re not having sex or masturbating regularly because they get erections in their sleep. But I no longer get morning or nighttime erections. So if I’m not getting any erections at all how long until my penis starts to shrink ?
