how hard should i push for BPEL

how hard should i push for BPEL

Hi.

I know my question is kind of silly but I just wanted to ask if when I measure BPEL the ruler should be pressed as hard as possible into the fat pad or until resistance is felt.

18.02.08: NBP 6.7, BPSFL 7.9, EG 5.9

18.05.08: 6.9" NBP, 8.3" BPSFL, 7.7" BP

my lazy ass is on a break AGAIN, since late may '08

Bone pressed measurement is meant to reset the fat pad you may have, so you have to press enough to get a “clean” result that is invariant in respect of your body weight, but not to make a hole there, don’t be exaggerated :!:

Yes. What GJ said. For your own sanity, I think you should push as hard as you can. The key is to just be consistent from one measurement to another, so it’s best to just press the ruler in as hard as possible and let that be your standard.

You’re only really trying to convince yourself about your PE results. If you measure and you’re a fraction shorter or longer than you were the last time, you can’t have any lingering doubts like “maybe last time I didn’t press as hard.”

If you haven’t already, you might put something on the end of your ruler so it’s not too painful when you press in. I taped a little strip of self-adhesive bandage around the end of my ruler. (See pic at the bottom of this post.) It probably adds about 1/16th of an inch to the length, and it’s a little more cushion for the pushin’.
