Hi

Hi

Hello guys,

I’ve read through quite a lot of stuff on this site; I must say, you all seem like quite friendly and I’m quite looking forward to working with you all.
Just started my first PE tonight, how do you stop your fingers getting tired so fast :p

Anyway, greetings!

Welcome to Thunder’s Place achillesminor! You’ll get used to doing the exercises. It will be much easier once you start seeing gains. :)

Yeah you know you’re obsessed with PE when you schedule your gym workouts around your PE workouts.

Good luck with those gains achillesminor.

Hey bro,

Get yourself a Gripmaster.. They come in different tensile strengths and you’ll really notice the difference after a week of using.
Or for a full hand and grip work out get some putty and work it between your fingers. Pm me if you need any exercise routines. I went through 5 months of intense physio to get my hands and wrists working again after sustaining a severe injury drumming so I learnt a thing a two about re-strengthening that area of my body.

For the putty, you can pick it up through most physiotherapists or just go direct via a site like this:

Or you just wait it out and over time your fingers will definately get used to the strains of pe.

A little dirt never hurt.

If you get invited to your first orgy, don't just show up nude. That's a common mistake. You have to let nudity "happen."

Thanks guys, especially big bear. I think I might just go back to my old guitar exercise of squeezing a tennis ball; failing that, I’ll just get drunk and give someone some wicked Indian burns.

Hey there Achillesminor, welcome to Thunder’s Place. You are right, the folk here are most helpful and quite friendly. In my humble opinion some of our veteran’s at Thunder’s Place should receive honour Phd’s for the contributions to so many success stories. Work consistently, be smart and do not be afraid to ask questions if you can not seem to find the answers here. As so many of the folk have shared, your fingers will get used to it, even I had similar challenges but its no longer an issue.

Achillesminor- My hands hurt too until I realized I was doing it too hard.

Welcome, this is a really good forum, I hope you have a great time here.

If you want a strong crushing grip, ditch the grip master; it is simply too weak to build any significant finger strength, although I can definitely see the rehabilitative uses of it. I like the Ironmind captains of crush grippers, but there are some others out there that cater to developing truly strong grips.

More importantly, consider getting some rubber bands or something and doing finger extensions. Put the rubber band around your fingers and extend them repeatedly. This will help keep the balance in your muscles and may help prevent injury; they help greatly for heavy grip training and a daytime job of computer work for me, and it is pretty inexpensive to find some big rubber bands to use.
