I’m absolutely new to all this, and I think it will help me boost my confidence.
Do the pills or devices work and is it worth it?
What is the best article to read and what can I expect and how long till results?

Hello Teeess,
Welcome from across the pond. Your measurement seems in proportion to itself. You didn’t say how tall or heavy you are, so if its also in proportion to your body, that’s another tip that things are “normal”. As for knowing how big your friends are - how? Did you measure them or did they simply report this? Guys exaggerate.
Also the method of measurement can easily rob Peter of half and inch and reward Paul with that same inch…and there is your delta.
Don’t be so fast to conclude you’re not normal or that all your chums are bigger. They might in fact be, but what you have to remember is that PE is for YOU, not for them. Don’t get into pills, but devices like stretchers or ADS (would be better for newbies, I think, I have one) are well respected for the most part. The manual exercises are the easiest, and those are free. I would read all of the sticky newbies FAQ’s on jelqing and stretching and the routines posted by the veterans, and try to decide what variation of all that will work on your terms. As for results, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the distribution…age, amount of time, beginning size, physiological problems, etc, all affect what an individual might see. Its frustrating there isn’t some kind of PE instruction manual, chapter 5, how long for gains to refer to, but all you would see there is stories from someone else.
If its any consoloation, some psuedo scientific/medical tests on ADS have been done, (but they are done with or by the manufacturer on a sample of guys who are having or had penile surgery), show results in 6 months or less. Jelqing, people have reported days, weeks, which to me smacks more of a quick fix of an underlying physical problem.
