Help with Site Rules

I have been lurking on this site for several months, and recently joined as a free member. Other than today, most of the time I have spent at Thunder’s has been research-based.

Today is my day off. Given the free time, I made several posts and freely browsed the forums.

Then it happened.

My account was suspended for what seems to be over-activity, for 30 minutes. The message also strongly suggested that I was somehow involved in some nefarious activity that may maliciously harm the site. I have never seen this on any type of forum or message board, and I am genuinely confused. Of course, if you read this post, and the content of the others, it is obvious I am no bot or program.

Without sounding like a joker, is there some rubric for how many pages I can view per day? Really, I understand bandwidth costs and some restrictions on usage occurs. Is there possibly a problem with my Firefox settings?

Apparently everyone else understands “how to behave.” Maybe someone would please explain what this is about?

If I was a bot, I would just go to Fry’s and by a new schlong to replace my schlort. Haha. Thanks for the responses. The restricted access screen just caught me off-guard.

I have also just recently been having this problem. I started the thread that marinera linked to above and I had the same problem happen to me again yesterday. I’ve been a member here for nearly two years (my anniversary is actually on March 30th!) and had never had this issue until it started happening about a week ago. I’m obviously not a bot, and it’s frustrating when this happens.

Is there anyone out there who has had this happen and can explain exactly what sets it off?

Like I said above, my behavior on this site had been pretty consistent over the past two years, but this has just recently started to happen. Any further insight would really be appreciated.
