Help using heat lamp.

I have just purchased an infrared heat lamp but i’m not exactly sure how to use it. Is there anyone out there who could give me a quick tutorial? Are there any possible injuries that I should be aware of? The last thing i want to do is hurt myself. Thanks for the help.

P.S. It is a floor sanding 275 watt heat lamp but i don’t know what kind. I know this is more power than most people recommend and i am open to buying a different bulb.

There is a huge difference between a heat lamp and the recommended IR one. Which do you have?

Current (Sept 15, 2011) BPEL - 7.6 MSEG - 5.8

Goal 8 x 6 (preferably NBPEL)

Great point! and I really was not very clear in my original post. I was in a bit of a hurry. Yes I purchased an IR heat lamp. It is a floor standing model and it has an attenuated knob so that you can control the intensity. The bulb is rated at 275 Watt and is used for “heat therapy”. My main concern is injuring myself. Can you heat too much, can you burn yourself, can you damage your dick?

Here is the actual lamp.

Your penis isn’t more sensitive to heat than the rest of your body - but protect balls. I have a 25w IR lamp and never injured myself.

(maybe because I’ve used only 3 times :D )

May the heat be with you.

Starting stats: 6.4" / 5.6" Current Stats: 7.4" / 5.8" Short term goal: 7" / 6" Long term goal: 8" / 6.5"

LOL, thanks alin.

Don’t let it tip over and land on you!!!!

But otherwise, apart from protecting the boys (unless you have had all the kids you plan on having) just keep it close enough to heat thoroughly but not burn. It gets a bit hotter as it warms up so I had mine closer to start and then move it back a few inches.

LOL, it does look a bit tipsy doesn’t it. Thanks for all of the advice, I plan to use it for the first time tonight.

If you are using a fairly strong lamp, especially if it is heating a larger area, such as your lower abdominal area, be very careful.

Because the heat penetrates well, a large volume of tissue is heated up, and the body has to work hard to try to keep all the heated tissue at normal body temperature.

Also, the blood flowing through the area is heated as it passes through the large volume of heated tissue and continues to circulate, carrying the heat with it.

What basically happens is you can get the IR lamp equivalent of sun/heat stroke. If you start to feel a little bit nauseous or faint, turn the lamp off straight away. If it happens, expect to feel a bit ‘rough’ for a while afterwards!

Also I say below, your penis is not a very temperature sensitive organ - it’s nerves are better at sensations of friction than heat, so you can cook it if you are not careful. :eek2:

150w is about ideal, so you could just turn it down a bit if it’s on a rheostat. Your penis is not a particularly heat sensitive organ, but the back of your hands are heat sensitive, so if the heat is comfortable on the backs of your hands, it should not cook your penis. With a lamp it’s easy to move closer or further away throughout your routine anyway. The temptation is always to slightly over-do the heat, so bear that in mind and resist it.

Keep your testicles covered! IR penetrates well. White t shirt material or even white paper towels, folded, to reflect back some of the light work well. If you just pull your underpants down so they cover your testicles and then tuck the material into the waist band, that is an easy method.

I used to use a piece of white t shirt material (and have always recommended that), but now I just fold a couple of paper towels and stick them into the waistband of my undies, which I pull down so they are still covering my testicles.

The paper towels are very white and reflective; almost no heat penetrates, plus they reflect the light back at the underside of my penis. They are disposable, so don’t need washing. I tear bits off them for assisting grip while stretching, and I use them to clean up after wet jelqing.

So there you have it - the ultimate PE accessory is the paper towel!

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Thanks firegoat! I have always appreciated your advice so I will definitely take it to heart. Any recommendation for how long to heat.

You’ll develop a feel for it. I could say 5 minutes, but I don’t know how close you are to the lamp, how strong or focussed it is, how thick your penis is! etc. so just go by feel. You can do your routine in front of the lamp and just move further away from it, then move closer if you feel you have cooled off too much. Or you can warm up then turn it off until you need to warm up again. Either works just fine.

Have fun experimenting, but don’t get too carried away to start with. :)

Perfect! One follow up question, several people, including yourself, have suggested that I cover my balls. Is this because it could do permanent damage to my testicles or just kill a few sperm. Obviously one is far worse than the other…

More likely the latter, but as your testicles contain fluid, which will get very hot, you could potentially cook your tubes a bit as they have thin walls. Your testicles will get much too hot before your penis has reached optimum PE temperature.

Why take any risks at all, when they are unnecessary?

Great point, I will take extra precaution.

Question:

I just got a 150w lamp and plan on trying things out today.

Is it only limited to stretches, or could I use it also for clamping?
