Hello. I'm new here and have a couple of questions

So I’m in my early twenties, and am about to start out the newbie routine. I just wanted some feedback on some problems I have with my penis. It seems that I cannot maintain an erection longer than about ten to fifteen seconds, and usually I have to be almost on the verge of ejaculating to even feel it get hard :(

Another problem I seem to have is that even if I see a hot girl walk by or whatever, I cannot remember the last time I had a spontaneous erection. I also have not had frequent morning erections in a long time.

So I was wondering what I should focus on the most? Kegels, perhaps? Lots of jelqs? Also, I have another question regarding supplements. I have bought the following:

~ L-Arginine
~ Zinc
~ Damiana leaves
~ Ginseng
~ Ginkgo Biloba
~ DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone)

I have the recommended mg or g intake amounts here on a list, but I was wondering if it’s safe to take all of these at the same time. I would really appreciate any pointers or helpful observations any of you would have, and I am trying my best to keep myself grounded and not be one of those people who thinks PE works from one week to the next :)

Welcome aboard maxcohen.

When yours problems started?

Are you using medicines/drugs?

About supplements, I think you can save your money. Specifically, DHEA is unuseful if you are not middle-aged.

A quick tip: read this:

How to use the Search button for best results

and then do a search: this site is near infinite, and likely your problems had answer in some previous thread.

Oh, thanks a lot. Yeah, sorry if you guys have heard it all before. I was just hoping for encouragement in the fact that maybe I’m not the only person around here in his sexual prime who can’t get it up heh.

I tried searching a lot of things before making this thread, so that specific search link is very helpful. I searched for “PE slang” and many other things and came up empty handed, by the way. I would really appreciate a thread linking to what EQ CS and all these other things mean :)

Also, I don’t really remember when exactly my problems started. All I know is that I haven’t had satisfactory erections for as long as I can recall. And I’m not on antidepressants or anything of the sort. Another quick question, sorry:

I read that supposedly one mustn’t masturbate too frequently if he wants harder erections (Twice a week being the “acceptable rate”). The problem is that doing kegels and doing jelqs afterwards I really feel the need to you know. Explode, if you catch my drift. Should I just control my ejaculation and try not to finish off after doing the exercises? Wouldn’t that cause massive blue balls?

Again, sorry for so many questions

Don’t worry about ejaculating after PE. Go ahead let it blow.

Now are you on any anti-depressants or anti-histamines?

How do you feel physically?

Do you feel run down, weak, tired all the time?

Are you always sleeping longer than you should?

Are you getting good sleep?

Are you overweight?

Speak softly carry a big dick, I'm mean stick!

You don’t need to worry about Blue Balls. I don’t ejaculate after workouts. What you may find out (like I did) is that it isn’t necessary to ejaculate to feel like you’ve had a fun time.

Blue Balls are not an issue, since you plan on ejaculating a few times a week anyway. (which is good and healthy)

I’m not on any anti-depressants or anything. The sleep thing is an annoyance I’ve always had. I cannot get a good night’s rest, even if I sleep eight hours. It’s like I sleep, but don’t rest up. I do feel tired most of the day, and it’s really getting on my nerves. I really don’t want to take any sleeping pills though, since I feel that’d really screw me up.

I go to the gym and do around 30-45 minutes of cardio exercise, plus weights. I go a minimum of three times a week, sometimes more. I wouldn’t say I’m extremely overweight. I’m 6’2 or so and weigh around 225 pounds, give or take, and I have a muscular build. Not pear shaped or anything, but I could stand to lose oh. Some 20 pounds, I’d say.

Thank you so much for the replies by the way. You guys are really helpful :D

Do you really think it could be my Thyroid? I’m planning on going to get it checked out tomorrow early in the morn. It can’t hurt to see if this is the cause of all my problems.

I really hope it isn’t that, though.And I sure as hell don’t want to find out that thyroid medication may cause ED. That would be pretty damned harsh

Okay, talked to my doc and he’s gonna send me over for some tests first thing in the morning tomorrow. Aside from that though, what about all these supplements I bought? Any suggestions?

Maxcohen:

I would focus on the Newbie Routine. That includes kegels; it includes jelqs but please do not do "lots of jelqs". I do not want to see you in the Injuries / Treatments forum.

As to your list of supplements, I don’t see anything there that is working against something else on the list, but please do heed the label warnings, and the instructions on dosages and frequency. I don’t think there is any supplement that someone hasn’t reported a problem with at some time. L-arginine can be useful. It is possible to take too much zinc and throw off balances with other minerals. Some claim libido improvements from damiana (and note that libido is not the same as an erection; you can be horny as hell and still be limp), but more have reported larger balls, at least while they continued to take damiana. Ginseng has been reported to help erections; it has also been reported to increase blood pressure. Gingko is supposed to be good for the circulation, but can cause excessive blood thinning and bleeding problems. DHEA is a prohormone, and in men, can turn into estrogen. (http://en.wikip edia.org/wiki/D … epiandrosterone ) Men do need some estrogen in their system, just like women need some testosterone, but I’d be wary about throwing that out of balance. I’m thinking that DHEA is not likely to help your erections, in any case.

I urge you to read the thread on physiological indicators (PIs; Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth!) and on EQ (erectile quality: Warning! If you haven’t gotten improved erections:). Monitor these as you go through your Newbie Routine, and as you start taking your supplements.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Take a look at this lighter newbie routine too. It is even “gentler” than the standard newbie routine. I did something similar, doing only about 90 jelqs per workout and it worked well for me.

NEW newbie + advanced routine

Lampwick gave you a ton of good information and advice in that post. A TON.

Good luck with the tests! Let us know how it comes out.

If DHEA has a positive hormonal effect, it will be more in the libido and not erectile function and/or strength. If you are not familiar with hormone treatment then I would steer clear of DHEA. Just my .02

Thanks a lot guys! So far I’m steering clear of the DHEA, and taking these supplements on a daily basis:

~ Ginseng: 4 grams
~ Arginine: 3 grams
~ Zinc: 100 mg
~Ginkgo Biloba: 240 mg
~ Damiana: 800 mg three times a day

Also, here are my test results:

Thyroid hormone tests:

Test||Result||Reference Range

T4||6.7 ug/dl||(5.1 - 14.1 ug/dl)

T3||101.5 ng/dl||(80.0 - 200.0 ng/dl)

TSH||1.42 uUI/ml||(0.27 - 4.2 uUI/ml)

Other tests I decided to get just for the hell of it:

Cholesterol||145.0mg/dl||( ≤ 200.0 mg/dl)

Glucose||79.0 mg/dl||( 70.0 - 110.0 mg/dl )

Triglycerides||100.0 mg/dl||( ≤ 170.0 mg/dl )

Soooo. Guess everything but my junk is in tip top shape :(

By the way, my doctor prescribed some Rivotril for me, to see if I can kickstart my old sleep routine again. Took twelve drops of it yesterday and I slept for a full six or seven hours.

Oh, and the ginkgo biloba tablets taste AWFUL. I can only imagine how horrid the tea must taste :D

Glad to hear your tests came back so well!

Take a look at this questionnaire and see what you think:

https://www.tes … estionnaire.asp

I took that test/quiz/whatever. Lots of those yes or no questions could be dependent on other factors, so it isn’t exactly the best thing to gauge whether I have low testosterone or not. I actually took a testosterone test about a year and a half or so ago (REALLY expensive by the way) and I came out normal. I actually went to a urologist to talk to him about my problem getting an erection, and he just chuckled to himself and sort of shrugged me off. He claimed I was too young to have ED, and that it was either all in my head, or due to nervousness. He chucked a prescription for Levitra to me and told me I didn’t have a problem. Fuckin’ doctors, man.

By the way, I’ve been very disciplined with taking the supplements and doing the exercises. Did two days straight and yesterday was my day off, and at certain parts of the day I’d get a pulsing sensation in my crotch area, which I thought was odd. I hope that’s entirely normal, since it didn’t cause me any pain or anything.Just a weird pulsing.

I’ll try to measure myself one of those days if I have the time. Gonna work out my unit in a couple of hours or so :)
