Heating pad for warm up

Hey guys, I just wanted to know if anyone else uses an electric heating pad for warming up. Is this an acceptable method? I just wanted to make sure there weren’t and serious downsides to it.

Nope, that’s what I usually use.

To me it’s nice to use throughout the entire workout when pumping. Great as a warm up too!

Cool, thanks for the responses guys. Just wanted to make sure the dry heat wasn’t going to cause a problem. It really has been infinately easier and I’ve found I like to warm up, stretch, warm up again, jelq, and then finally warm down and I get a good flaccid hang at the end of the session.

I have to disagree.

I am of the camp that believes in the use of moist heat pads (the ones that are micro-waveable), or infra-red heat.

I’ll qualify this: if you’re pumping and your dick is in a cylinder I don’t think it matters. If you are using direct pad to skin contact for your warm-up, then moist heat is superior to the electric pad.

From what I was able to gather the moist heat does a better job of transfering heat to the ligaments, is this correct? The only other issue I saw was people having their unit dried out by using dry heating pads or hair dryers.

You can buy moist-heating pads, but I wouldn’t know if they’re better than other moist heating methods.

I suppose you could steam your dick and serve it with asparagus, but I don’t know why anyone would.

I think dry heat from an electric heating pad is better than no heat, certainly. I just think the moist heat option is better for overall penetration of the heat, as well as being better for the skin.

If you use the heating pad method you’re going to get a reliably steady level of heat, which I think is really good. The pads need to be re-nuked in the microwave every 15 or 20 minutes. For me that’s fine, as I find I need to take breaks anyway.

More and more, I’m thinking infra-red is best the way go.

It has more use than just PE for one thing.

But heat is really key. So as long as you’re using it that’s what’s most important.

A heating pad heats thoroughly. There’s no question about that. He may be in a situation where regular trips to the microwave to warm up a heating device would be embarrassing.

I use a big rice sock, but also have a heating pad and both can make things plenty hot.

I use an electric heating pad, which I find does the trick just fine the only problem is it tends to have hot spots, and spots that don’t seem to get nearly where they should be temperature wise, that is why I think my heat pad included a removeable sponge that you are supposed to be able to wet and use between the pad and your area to be heated without being electricuted. I haven’t got the guts to use it yet, but it seems that if the pad kept the sponge heated constant it would dispers the heat much more evenly and avoid hot and cold spots.
