Hi guys just wondering if measuring wrong is common, I measured my erect length at when I started at 5.1 inches bone pressed and have been jelqing every day in the bath, think I’ve had 1 rest day in my first week due to me being to tired after work so just had a quick bath n went to bed. I’ve just got my self erect to measure and I’m now 5.4 inches long. I’m loving it but I’m still thinking I might have measured wrong. Is 0.3 inch possible in just a week?

Why sit down? Everything I’ve read indicates that you will think you have a bigger penis then you really have, due to the fact that while sitting down, you tend to push the ruler deeper into the pelvic area, making the penis measure bigger then it otherwise should measure.

I think it’s very likely that the variation you are seeing is due measurement technique. You may also be seeing improved EQ. It’s pretty unlikely, but impossible, that you’ve gained .3 inch in a week from just jelqing.

The main thing is consistancy. At this point, I think you should measure every day, maybe even several times a day, for a week or so, to get a really good sense of where you are at. Pay attention to exactly how you measure—pressure, angle, what position you are in, etc. so that you can repeat your method and get an accurate guage of your gains without having to wonder if it’s just measuring technique.

Once you have a firm grasp (no pun intended) of how you measure, put the ruler away for a month or to and just focus on your routine.

And make sure to get some pics with the ruler. You’ll be glad you did.

There is no problem measuring yourself when you are sitting down. If you are going to have sex some people do while they are sitting down and what you see while you are sitting down is what your partner is going to see. But you can measure sitting and then standing.

Take it lightly. I remember measuring differently and what I thought was a gain wasn’t. I was a bit disheartened. Keep up the hard work though.

I stand up straight and have my penis straight out, parallel with the floor for length measurements. My favorite is the BPFSL with the TPSMM 2.0 (vertical ruler technique), a very accurate measurement!

Measuring in PE has nothing to do with sex or what your partner may see/feel or not. It’s for mapping your PE progress as consistently and accurately as possible, that’s it. Measuring with motivations other than that is another story.

I wouldn’t want to measure when sitting down, because there seems to be about an inch that goes back into my body when sitting. It depends on the way I sit really, f.e. straight up, bending my back etc. That could be because I have back problems, when I’m sitting or laying down, my back isn’t at it’s right curve, resulting in a bit of lenght going back in my body.

If you are sitting, the height of what you sit on, the softness, the angle you sit at etc. will all make your measurements vary. It is usually best to measure standing. The purpose of measuring is just to see if you have grown, and to be as consistent in results as possible, not to get the largest possible measurement. It’s best to do it once a month (done the same each time).

I think when people first start PE, they will measure without regard to the position they are in, but after a week or so of constantly getting the ruler out ‘just to see’, they have found the best way to measure to get the largest possible measurement.

Early Newbie gains can be a combination of changing measuring methods, improved erection quality and the natural tendency for early stretching to be easy (think about learning to do the splits - you gain flexibility fast at first, but after a while it gets slower).


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

This “sit up” or “stand up” question it’s really more big that you think, if you use the search button there’s a lot of discussion about this, and I suggest you to create a method, don’t matter, if you going measure laying down or sit down, it’s just a method, so you can be consistent, get it?

Standing up and measuring has just crushed all of my past gains induced euphoria.

I’ve been wondering why my newfound 7” didn’t look all that impressive in the mirror and now I realize that standing up, I’m only 6.5”.

Makes me wonder how really small I was to begin with.

Growth is growth.

Numbers are just there to make sure you are on the right track.

Visually if you look like 8” but you measure 5”. Who cares?
