I switched to 1 on 1 off after I had been overworking with 2 on 1 off. It sucked because I was working on PE harder than ever, yet my gains halted and I was still sore from the day before when I began my PE session. I also took a week of deconditioning in between the switch, in which time I did get some small gains just from allowing my dick to recover. As soon as I switched I noticed the difference and am still making steady gains with just jelqing and stretching. It is definitely worth a try because it is far better to “undertrain” than to overtrain. You could also split your exercises into different days, that might work for you.
