Has one day on, one day off worked for anyone?

I switched to 1 on 1 off after I had been overworking with 2 on 1 off. It sucked because I was working on PE harder than ever, yet my gains halted and I was still sore from the day before when I began my PE session. I also took a week of deconditioning in between the switch, in which time I did get some small gains just from allowing my dick to recover. As soon as I switched I noticed the difference and am still making steady gains with just jelqing and stretching. It is definitely worth a try because it is far better to “undertrain” than to overtrain. You could also split your exercises into different days, that might work for you.

I think the soreness is what I experienced throughout the second day after my routine. So, yesterday, I worked it, today nothing, (still just a little sore), but I look better flaccid, and I’m ready for tomorrow. Oh yeah, I just ordered a pump. (I will take that very slowly, just like everything)

A few weeks ago I switched to a 1 day on 1 day off routine. I will keep an eye on this thread and report what I have gained or not gained. I did however find that after a one week break due to not having my room, I had 4.875 on the girth still which made me happy.

1 on/ 1 off is the way olympic athletes workout in the gym, and it’s waaay way better than the silly 4-day splits some “body builders” suggest.

This was my preferred method, unless I forgot or didn’t have time in the shower on my PE day.

I started with a 1on/1off routine, but really wanted to PE 5on/2off or everyday. However, like yourself, after two days of PE, my unit gets real sore and EQ goes to shit.

I would usually require a few days off to recover, so basically, I’ve been forced into a 2on/2off routine for several weeks now, due to negative PIs. I haven’t seen much growth (even some shrinkage) during this period.

I happen to be one of those guys with a really “sensitive dick”, so that has been a big factor in my difficulties. It’s hard for me to jelq without causing some kind of negative PI; I’ve tried various grips and strengths (now targetting sides of tunica/avoiding dorsal side at all costs), and cut the number of jelqs way down (less than 50 for now). These amendments seem to help, but soon after I step it up to 2 days in a row, the soreness comes back.

For now, I’ll be sticking to the 1on/1off routine, but it can be a pain in the ass to be consistent with it at times.

I can say, in retrospect, that it looked like I was growing with the 1on/1off before I got too enthusiastic.

Thanks for the feedback. My “symptoms” were almost exactly what your talking about. So, I will be keeping an eye on this stuff. Marinera even said that some people go 1 on 2 off. I’ll see how today goes, and watch my pi’s. I’ll keep this thread posted.
