I’ve always been intrigued with an email (still on my site) from a guy telling how, when he was a kid and the subject came up, an older boy would tell a younger that if he wanted his penis to grow he should just pull it out ‘til it hurts.’

To read some of the posts on Thunder’s place, you’d think you need the equivalent of a private spa, complete with kitchen and machine shop, or a well-endowed credit card, to have a chance at growing. From some guys you get the impression that you need a year of hanging at least ten pounds to get gains; I got mine with in four months and couldn’t do more than six pounds. And at the end of it all, I wondered if I even needed all that hassle. (Would I have gotten the same results hanging two pounds for 140 hours? No way to know!)

I’ve always noticed a difference in my ‘before’ size and my ‘after’ size, even after a few minutes, and I wondered if I ‘reminded’ my penis every day that it could be a little longer, would it ‘remember?’

What if you just pulled it, a little every day?

I’ve been doing a 5-minute routine for six weeks now, and results are encouraging but not conclusive. I’m wondering if a newbie sharing my sense of curiosity and laziness might be willing to try the routine and see what happens?

Here’s the routine in all its glory:

1. ~ Measure flaccid, grabbing behind glans, stretched, ruler pressed against public bone
2. Do any kind of pulling you want for five minutes (Need a stopwatch? )
3. Repeat measurement
4. Record before and after measurements
5. Don’t do any other type of PE for 30 days

The question you will answer is whether, over a period of 30 days, the measurements change.

Measuring: use a metric ruler if you can – a lot easier than saying ‘is that 5/8 or 7/16?’

Practice measuring – it makes no difference what your actual measurements are (to me, anyway). What matters is consistency. For example, don’t hold the ruler flat so it can slid under the pubic bone – vertical or at a 45-degree angle works better. Close your eyes and do it several times and get the feel of it, until you always get the same result when you open them again to look at the ruler.

Measure MANY times before you start the first time to make sure you've got it down.

Anyone up for it?

One more thing: I'm undecided about the 'hurts' part. I think that's a kid's way of saying really pull on it!

Or 8 pounds for 35 hours? Seems more consistent with your experiment? :)

Using the hanger I had, after 35 hours of eight pounds, I would no longer have had a functioning penis.

Sure, for five minutes a day, but maybe not as strong a pull as manual.

5 mins a day seems to less but hey maybe it would work. Anytime I see my penis looking small I always pull it out my body. I feel it should always remain stretched out and not hiding in its shell EVER!

Well, I’ve wondered many times if I’d have gotten my gains much more easily doing manual stretching instead of hanging weights (I only got to six pounds). Alas, in 1996 there just wasn’t a whole lot of PE info available…so, yes, I’m suggesting you try manual stretching for five minutes a day and see if you get results.

Look at the attached chart I’ve made - may be all in my head, but certainly looks like something’s been happening in only five minutes a day, no?

It makes sense for a little boy to pull on his dick for 5 minute everyday for his childhood and teen years. I am sure he would develop a longer penis by doing that.

I don’t think it would have much of an effect on most guys here. Not after what we put our penis’ through. If it did cause gains then it most likely would take way too long.

Would be good as part of a maintenance routine for sure.

I guess I do something like this or did and I gained. But it took about 10 mins of stretching time including breaks but the total “actual stretch” time was 5 mins. I was doing very intense 10-20 sec. stretches downward mostly. But this was every other day but right now I recently started doing it everyday because I can now handle it. Not to mention its about what I can do when I go back to college.

Thanks for your opinion, and for identifying it as that. Perhaps in the other post 1/2 inch in one month - only 5 minutes/day? post it would be more appropriate. I haven’t really intended a call for volunteers as a platform for people to state their opinion of the experiment itself.

First, regarding the ‘maintenance routine’ that prevails in groupthink here: perhaps it’s only me that has a dick that doesn’t say “Oh, good, he’s stopped pulling on me; I’m going to shrink,” but I’ve never experienced a loss of gains.

Secondly, after what ‘most guys here’ have ‘put our penis’ {sic} through:’ does Tom Hubbard qualify for that description?

Assuming your answer is yes, let me review my facts. I have found measuring to be an art rather than a science and of course very emotionally charged with targets, but here are the highlights:

Circa 1993

See a book in a bargain bin at Office Max, about sex for teenage boys; read that the average size is 3-4” flaccid, 6” erect. Get home and measure for the first time in my life (~age 39): 3x1+” flaccid, 6” erect. Maybe 6-1/8, but probably not less than 6. (Relieved to see I’m ‘normal,’ but it still feels small in my hand and looks ridiculous flaccid on a 6’3” (190cm) guy). There was hardly an internet then, much less EL and PBEL etc etc and I felt no need to measure again.

1996

I’m afraid my handwritten records are permanently lost; I’ve moved five times since then which includes two countries outside the USA. But I remember well: 6” to 7-1/4” and poky little stick dick to hanging 4+”, in four months, 140 hours hanging, maximum sustainable weight 6 lbs (2.727 kg). Then the growth stopped, and so did hanging.

2003

Between then and 2003, I repeated the 140 hours with greater weight, getting to 7-3/8” BPEL and 4-1/2” flaccid. The reason I remember this: in 2003, I was on the phone with a college bound kid I’d mentored, mostly long-distance, for several years. We had developed a very honest and open friendship, and that day the conversation got onto penis size and I explained how ‘we’ measure and he already knew that and said he was 7-1/4”, and I said I was 7-3/8” and thought afterward what a stupid bit of one upmanship, except for one thing: it was true. And it’s been true since, much as I’d strain to see that magical round 7-1/2” number.

2010

Four weeks or so into my 5-minute/day routine, I measure my first ever 7-1/2” BPEL, which is confirmed by my more frequent BPFSL, as you can see on the chart (7.5” = 19.05mm).

I would like to reiterate my encouragement of someone who’s interest in PE but has never done anything to start keeping records and see what happens in 5 minutes a day.

May be nothing, may be wonderful - what have you got to lose?
