Would you get good, solid gains from just doing say jelqs and manual stretching for a extended period of time? Because I’m seeing all these routines and techniques and stuff, it just baffles me and I’m just wondering if I really have the time to do some of them. If I did a basic workout consistently would it still yield good results?

Or would I have to do more advanced exercises?

Eventually you will have to add in more advanced exercises. I have done only manual exercises and have had very good gains in the 8 months I have been PEing.

An hour a day is not really that much time to put in, and that’s about how long it takes me to do my workout. Not including warmup or edging.

Just do the newbie routine for 3-4 months and see how it works out. Some people respond great to manual exercises while some respond better to hanging/pumping/clamping etc. You have to find what works for you, but you have to start somewhere and that’s newbie routine. :) You can gain something, that’s for sure. People who don’t gain anything at all are extremely rare.

Some people exclusively do jelqing and manual stretching and definitely have gained from it. You can do a basic routine of:

Warm-up: 5 min.
Manual Stretching: 10 min.
Jelqing: 10 min.

Also, you can break up your routine throughout the day. Do some in the morning and evening if you are under time constraints.
