Going for length

I just started PE a few days ago, although I’ve done it before, for about a month. That was about a year ago.

I’m just doing the basic beginner routine, but sometimes I do a second stretching session if I have time later in the day. I always make sure and warm up and down. Is it okay to do that in the beginning, or should I just do the bare minimum? I guess I’ll find out if it has any negative effects.

I really want to work on length though. I guess what I am asking is do you think it is okay to stretch more, or not as much when you are starting?

The question is whether you are overworking your unit or not. If you get negative PIs, that means that you should take a break and then restart PE with a lighter routine (reduced session time).

You can focus more on length by reducing session time dedicated to jelqing while increasing time dedicated to stretching.

You could also try doing your jelqs in the way described in this thread:

I don’t recommend going beyond the newbie routine for a couple of months. If you are going for length focus more on the stretches and less on the jelqs.

Thanks for the link, it was interesting.

I haven’t had any negative PI’s. Also I only warm up and stretch for the second session, then warm down. I don’t jelq again.
