Right now I am not really interested in hanging, so I would like to know: can I make substantial gains by doing workouts based solely on jelqs(+warmups and manual stretches)?

i think most will just say to do the newbie routine. In one thread tho, someone was saying something about just jelqing, but that was after he got through the newbie routine, but just did it for girth.

Of course, that’s were most people start out or still do. I have started hanging but mainly because I can’t manual stretch for shit, I just can’t get a good hold? But you should start out on the newbie routine before thinking about hanging in my opinion and if you stop gaining then think about hanging.

This is what I intend to do, I.e. Sticking to the newbie routine for now. I plan on tweaking it as I get more used to it, but the idea of hanging is not something that appeals to me. So, I’m talking about getting good results, like 1 to 2 inches, without hanging EVER. Many of the significant gainers that I have come across here mention hanging as a part of their regimen. Iv been lurking in this forum on and off for years and iv read people saying they only jelq and have gained or only hang and have gained. In my opinion it’s down to that person, for me Iv always done wet jelqs which I know have increased my length and girth but being me haven’t kept records enough of this, now when I dry jelq no matter how soft and gentle I am I get a fucking injury. Iv never stretched because as I said I can’t do it, when I’m flaccid I can’t get a grip of the old boy. Hanging I have to admit is uncomfortable but feels like my ligs are actually being stretched. What to do is as you’ve said do the newbie routine, if after a good few months you’ve not getting anywhere then maybe think about hanging? Just try and see whats right, You probably want gains as fast as possible but it’s a learning curve to see whats right for you, just take your time and be consistent.

I had good gains from manual stretches and jelqing with the only addition being edging after PE. After a few months on the newbie routine, I increased the manual stretching and jelqed at slightly lower erection levels for part of my jelqing session.

Consistency and good quality practice is the key! Good luck:D
