If I started hanging for a couple months and gained 1/2 inch in length would it be permanent or would it eventually go back to my original size if I stopped PE ?

Ultimately everyone’s different. Some gains for some people are completely permenent, while others require maintenence, and can be different depending on girth or length, and an infinite number of permutations.

Only one way to find out for you, but most peole who gain a lot due some sort of maintence program just to be sure.

Did you do the newbie routine 3 or months before hanging? Or did you just start off with hanging? If you just started off with hanging, please understand that you are asking for an injury!

To answer your exact question in your exact circumstance, I am willing to bet you will lose that half inch if you just stopped PE.

My recommendation - take 2 weeks off, then start with the newbie routine (no hanging). Go with that for three months at least. In that time, spend at least 36 hours searching this forum to learn all you can about PE. Make your first search “cementing.”

FYI: you aren’t there quite yet, but you’re headed in that direction. Knock it off. Thunder will appreciate it and so will a lot of the rest of us.

And just so you know, it’s a subject that has been covered and debated ad infinitum, ad nauseam around here. Which is why you’re encountering some resistance.

It might get easier if you were to use the word “permanent” instead of the way you spelled it. I’m just saying. Computers do what you tell them, not what you want.

So, just to specifically answer you question, people’s experience seems to vary. Some report stopping PE and no significant loss, others report huge losses and suggest a maintenance routine is needed to maintain gains.

My guess, both are true. One can get temporary gains that revert, and it seems that folks can also get permanent gains.

Your mileage may vary.
