"Fuck the warm-up"

Warm-ups essential for me.

Remek,

I concur, and have found warm ups essential. Have tried all sources of heating devices, from pads, to rice socks, various thermal devices and have settled on the IR bulb to induce heat as the easiest and least tedious. Just position it optimally, pre heat for x minutes and keep it on throughout as desired. I have gained 2 inches length and 1 inch girth in my PE career thus far. Started at 5.75” erect NBP and 4.5” girth. (approx.) thus 7.75” x 5.5”.

I follow your threads and comments with great interest.

The alchemy of PE.

Many of you have pointed out that the correaltion is indirect — meaning it wasn’t caused by the warm-up per say, but something else (such as keeping commited to a routine).

Now, I don’t have the power to say the correlation was direct. Nor do I have the knowledge to say it was indirect. But either way, there is a correlation — and it’s a very strong one.

The evidence (through the survey) shows that the begginers who used a warm-up gained nearly 3 times more than those who did not. Again, I agree, this might be an indirect correlation. Who knows.
The evidence (through hobby’s and other’s research) provide an explanation for warming up and increased gains. Thus, we have a theory (heat helps with gains), and some evidence for that theory.

But Dino pointed out something more important than the above. A warm-up is suppose to decrease the chances of injury. If this is true, then I am going to throw any evidence at the new guys that I can, so long as they use the warm-up.

Merlin,

To me, there is one thing bad about the IR lamp — the fear of frying my testes off. This fear is long gone, but I remember when I first bought an IR lamp… I thought to myself, “what the hell are you doing?!” “You are applying 200 watts of heat directly to your penis! Are you nuts?”

At first, I tried to use a sock to cover my family jewles. But that didn’t work. It kept slipping off. It wasn’t until later, when I thought of using underware to cover my testicles, that the fear settled down a little bit.

I can imagine the public outlash towards PEers using an IR lamp in that area…

Thank you Merlin. That means a lot to me coming from a guy who has been here since the beginning.

remek, on the frying:
Just get a rather loose pair of underwear and cut a hole in it where you want to PE.. Problem solved :)

And on the heating part:
Lots of the times I didn’t warm up (properly!) I kept overdoing the exercises (in retrospect).
This means veins going ouchy for a few weeks, white spots on the underside of the head from girth exercises (which lost feeling kinda), etc.

All these injuries were healed just beautifully, but it took time!
So I’d rather warm up properly and get my precious a good workout instead of injuring it by accident.

Just as dino said: Heating up lowers the probability of injury.. IMO anyways :)

Where did you get the heat lamp?

I’m with you, remek.

Ys,

Yes that is what I do now. I was always taught to use a “sock” to cover the balls. I don’t know about other guys, but it never worked well for me.

But instead of cutting a hole in the underwear, I just use the hole that is already there. I pull my penis through the pee hole and wah-lah, my testicles are covered and I can PE.

Harmony,

Your best bets are online (maybe e-bay) or at a pet store. Quite a few home improvement stores have them too (such as Home Depot). The Wal-Marts I have been to do not have them.

Regardig IR heat lamps, I would advocate a safe distance where the heating is “constructive” and the area is warmed up modestly (so to speak) rather than “destructively” or excessively. I just want the tissues to be gently warmed up but not “hot” which also applies to the testicles. Modest heat over a certain period of time can cause transient/short term decrease in spermatogenesis, which is a temporary only as a function of increased temperature. Covering the testicles is prudent, and will check this more closely.

remek,
hehe I found there’s just not enough space for relaxed and decent PE’ing so I found myself an old one (totally closed) and created an opening to my liking.. Worked quite well till now :)

Realize that you internal body temperature is what it is, and so is your blood!

Your warmup will only last for probably less then a minute since the temperature
of your blood will cool the ligaments and tunica down in just a matter of time.

remek’s idea for this i probably the only thing that would keep the warm-up
lasting for more then a minute…

More on a warm-up…

This was my experience with a warm-up when I was a beginner:

I would typically do a warm-up every once in a while. I religiously did it for the first week or two, but after that, using a warm-up was scarecly in my routine. However, when I did do the warm-up, I noticed a few things.

My penis was always more “elastic.” I never measured my BPFSL, but if I did, it would have been longer after using a warm-up. It seemed much more like a rubber band, and much more responsive to the stress I was applying on it. This right here was evidence enough for me.

This right here should be the true test for you. Is a warm-up making your penis more elastic? Even a little? (In this type of exercising, every bit counts.) If you answered yes, then I stick with my suggestion: Use a warm-up.

My guess is that sooner or later, for the veterans, a warm-up begins to become less effective… This line of thinking may be completely off the wall, but it is what I believe. I think once you reach a certain point (after the first two months), the penis becomes less responsive to the warm-up. Thus, it results in less elasticity than normal. Sometime in your career it might produce no extra elasticity. In this case, I would suggest taking a break from the warm-up for a few weeks, and then returning for a week or two — hopefully adding a nice extra “pop” in your gains.

Absolutely correct. If there are any PE benefits to having the tissue warmer than usual, then you would need to keep the tissue warm throughout the entire PE session, not just a 5 minute warmup. However hot you make your dick in those 5 minutes, its going to be back to normal temperature in very little time. Maybe use the IR lamp during the whole PE session? Or do the PE in a hot jacuzzi? Even if heat makes a difference, temporary heat definitely won’t.

Current: 5.5" NBPEL (6" BP) x 5" EG

Goal: 6.5" NBPEL x 5.5" EG

No doubt it is possible to calculate the amount of blood that passes through the penis per minute. It would then be possible to calculate the amount of energy that could be transferred to the blood before being pumped out again. I don’t agree with one minute - from my own experience, heating up in a water cup allows the skin temp to stay considerably warmer for quite a while, and the tunica is just below. Read the link hobby posted - I recall that mbuc’s experiment showed that the strain lessened pretty much immediately after applying heat and stayed the same after removal.

Granted, constant heat via IR or intermittent with extra ricesocks or hotwraps will be better.
