Has anyone, especially veterans begun using heat to warm up late in their career?
I have just started using a heat gun (powerful hair dryer used for stripping paint.) and I already notice the difference in elasticity in my unit.
Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.
As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Please dont fry your unit! The recommended temp so that collagen is most elastic is between 100 to 110 degrees. 104 degrees being the most quoted number. Having the ability to strip paint sounds like it can do a load of damage to your unit, possibly rendering it inoperable, forever….
Haha! One to keep it at arms length and for a few seconds at a time just to keep it hot, but not melting!

a-unit, you will almost certainly find damp heat or IR much more penetrating and effective. I really don’t want to encourage the heat gun, but maybe try wrapping your penis in a damp cloth before applying the gun? Better to try a different method all together! Heat is a wonderful tool, but the heat gun could turn your tool into a carbonised sausage! :)

Firegoat, good suggestions. I find the gun is good to heat up the unit, but you have to really monitor how much time you use it for.

Nope, never heat up the unit these days. I just make sure the room I’m in is comfortable with my clothes off.

After a couple of months hanging using the heat gun I’m happy to report that the unit is still intact and fully operable indeed.
The heat gun is extremely effective in warming the unit thoroughly and maintains the heat easily through the entire workout.
