A lot has changed in knowledge since the newbie routine was written yet everyone recommends it as written. Nobody shoud be jelqing for 30 minutes it is counterproductive to PE. Over conditioning is a bigger problem than under conditioning. It makes gains harder. The name of the game is inflicting enough stresses and trauma and tissue deformation in the shortest amount of time. With enough rest, it will grow.

I did the same thing as you in the beginning 30 minutes of jelqing thinking I was getting somewhere and the gains were soon to come. I took a break instead and started inflicting trauma in different ways quickly and then I started to gain. It’s no fault of yours or mine but the newbie routine is way to stressful and to routine and gives a false impression of what one needs to do to stimulate growth.

Dark engine you for sure need a break. Then a change that routine up and keep changing it up. I’d even cut jelqing out completely for a few months

It just seems irritating that the website does what it can (with good intentions, of course) to direct newbies to the routine, only to find that one note underneath has lead to overtraining and effectively four months of wasted time. Worse is that I’m not the only one to have made the mistake.
Could cut out Jelqing although I don’t really care about length gains.

Okay. And max Jelqing should be about 10 minutes then? When do people incorporate pumping?

I had actually mentioned the scale up on the Newbie Routine to other mods just in the last few weeks. I personally find it hard to coach around and stories like yours are more frequent now than when it was originally designed. These days overdoing it is much more common.

It’s showing just a bit of its age.

Now: 9" BPEL x 6.25" MSEG as of 11/10/2019 This is my story, a few progress pics of me here, and all my methods.

Then: 6.25" x 4.37" in 8/2009 Are you new to PE? Here's some advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.

My Extender and forward to 10" and balls enhancement project. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *10* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith.

Ah, thanks for bringing that up.
Also to everyone: Sorry if I sound grumpy and averse towards advice (“But I tried that / No, I can’t do this”) — thank you for your input, I’ll still keep it in mind.
Probably just hesitant about varying perspectives towards PE methods — someone advised me I could start my pumping career whether. Saw one poster saying there shouldn’t be any days off on PE. They all mean well towards gaining, regardless. And as ThoughtfulGold says, there’s no exact science towards the whole thing. But toughening the dick up is a real set back, it seems.

There is always going to be differing opinions. We offer advice, like everyone, on what has worked for us. I found out early that too much, without any rest days was being counterproductive for me. That is why I followed those that stated rest days were vital and why I advise to utilize them. I was told to stay away from any advanced methods, until my penis was well conditioned. I did and saw gains. So I stress these teachings, when I give advice. All because this is what has worked for me. Being patient, resting, and never overworking.

It is all up to your own judgement. If you feel the way some others have told you to go at it hard is working, then do it their way. If you find that it’s not, maybe it’s time to rethink. Every penis will respond to PE differently. What works for one, will not work for all. Yours may just be one like mine and so many others that needs to be given a break, once in a while.

By the way. Sometimes you have to check out how long they’ve been doing PE and what the gains are for the guys that started and continue to go at it hard is. It might surprise you? Many have been doing this for a very long time and haven’t seen nearly the gains they probably could have, if they would have taken it easy.

Start 11/20/16 ====> 5.75" BPEL/ 4.5" EG. 1/19/17====> 6.625" BPEL/ 4.75" EG. 11/24/17====> 6.75" BPEL/ 4.75" EG.

Sometimes it’s also genetics, and people have a penis that’s naturally resilient to change.

And keep in mind I didn’t choose to be this hard on the penis. As mentioned, I was only following what the Newbie Routine advised and the end result was, ironically, over training. (But I get what you’re ultimately saying: go slow and steady, and don’t push hard on the penis)

Okay, I don’t believe genetics plays any role in PE. What you said there sounds like a negative cop out. When PE is done right, any man can succeed and having a positive attitude toward it is first and foremost.

I checked your thread history and noticed you have no progress report thread. For success with PE, this is vital. Letting others here know of your routine and changes you have made along the way. This gives more insight to those trying to help. If you would have had a progress thread, someone could have recognized you were overworking and tried to put a stop to it. I keep track of my progress and routine changes pretty extensively. I have Thoughtfulgold to thank for catching a time when I started overworking. I listened and because so, I had success. But he wouldn’t have been able to give me this advice, if I didn’t keep an up to date record of all my PE activities.

I hope you take our advice and rest for awhile. Don’t give up man. You had a bad run and now you learned. A couple months off and you’ll be back on track to start anew. We are here to help, but please give us that much needed information in a progress thread. It’s so much easier for us to catch mistakes and correct them that way, before it’s too late.

Thanks.
I didn’t make a progress thread because I was advised to not measure for at least four months — supposedly because measuring sooner develops insecurities, and that gains take time. Though I do agree that if there’s zero gains (or losses) in a month or two, that’s still some indication that can be caught early rather than later. On top of asking for input on the routine, requesting feedback for the Newbie Routine felt redundant since it’s intended to be a safe starting ground for beginners of PE. It didn’t seem necessary. But sure, I’ll keep members updated throughout for next time.

There is still possibility to gain for you. Doing a log and noticing what gives you good indicators and whatnot can help to get towards the right direction. I dont think that you now have an uber tough dick. Such stuff happens when you hang high weights and the like.. To have really toughened up you would have also have felt really big soreness. Still you might do a pause. Its also possible that you gain within that pause, which is often reported and some even work in such a fashion(Xenolith)

I didnt’t gain gain with a newbie routine much either. Did dedicated long time extending and heli stretches in breaks and gained my length.

Sure.
I’ll stick to having two months (maybe more) off and going very carefully when I return. Maybe measure every month and ask for feedback on whether or not I should be stepping it up.
